"You're what?"
Mirasol pursed her lips as she continued to stand before the desk, her arms extended towards Sehun with the envelope in hand.
A resignation letter.
It had been a couple days after the cruise ship had returned back home. Mirasol managed to refrain herself from shifting over to her other personality for the rest of the trip. However, that resulted in massive headaches, horrible nightmares, and something new: hand tremors. She could feel herself fighting against an unknown force within, so to not change.
While Mira still had control, she had to make a plan on what to do to have this... disorder go away. As the idea simmered in her mind for the rest of the trip back, she knew she had to do it, even as much as it hurts her to do so.
And taking away the job that had fit her dangerous personality more than herself was the obvious first step.
Once she and Sehun arrived home to their apartments, the half-filipina didn't waste time to write her resignation letter. She no longer wanted to be the model that was supposed to be Jovelyn's than hers.
It sent a chill down her spine every time she pondered about it.
What if Oh Corp. had decided to keep Jovelyn as the model instead of me?
I probably would've been long gone already.
Mirasol frowned, bowing her head in apology at her soon-to-be ex boss. "I'm sorry, Sehun-ah. But I realized that even as much as I try to become a model, it was never cut out for me."
"Is this because of your sister, Mirasol?" Sehun asked in a cold tone. "I'm sorry but even as experienced as she was, we chose you."
"I know!" She quickly interjected. "And honestly, I want to thank you for choosing me, even though I'm no where qualified. These past couple months have been quite something, and it was a nice experience. This has nothing to do with... Jovelyn."
<< Are you sure? >>
Mirasol shook her head to rid of that thought. "I know this greatly disadvantages me since this job had helped pay for our bills and more but really... I just don't think it's right for me. I was never meant to be a model."
I have to cut out all ties of Jovelyn right now.
"I hope this doesn't disadvantage you either, Sehun... But, your store has been doing really great lately. I literally had to go through so much people before getting to your office. If you change the model, I'm sure there wouldn't be a difference." Mira rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. Really, she never believed that she would be modeling for so long anyway. It was about time.
Sehun stared at her resignation letter for a good while without even opening it. He placed it down on his desk and set it to the side. "It's a shame but if this is how you feel about it, then I can't stop you." He peered up at her. "Are you okay?"
Mirasol blinked in surprise of the question. "Huh? Y-Yeah, I'm okay," she replied. "Why do you ask that?"
"I just care about your well-being, that's all..."
There it was again. The heart-fluttering words. "Truly, I'm fine..."
"If you say so." He looked away. At that moment, he closed the laptop he was using before Mira had walked in. "Do you, perhaps, want to get some tea or something? I'm kind of thirsty. We can stop by Azalea's for a bit?"
