Poor Canada, always forgotten by the other countries... tHAT'S WHAT THE FANS ARE FOR

(Last chapter was updated for people who didn't know, so Nick Fury does NOT know about the countries, yet...)

After what seemed like hours, Matthew's 'captors' decided to join him in the interrogation room. First walked in Natasha, who Canada figured was supposed to be the most intimidating person in the team.

Luckily for him, he's dealt with much worse (Almost getting sat on by Russia, aliens, wars, etc...).

At first he noticed the Russian woman's discomfort when she didn't see him, but she eased up when she reminded herself of his- uh- 'abilities'.

She sat down on the metal chair opposite him, her eyes boring into his. Matthew almost laughed, it was as if she thought if she stared at him long enough he would stop disappearing.

Kumajiro, his polar bear of many names, sat chained to the steel table, silently glaring at the headed assassin.

"So, Whoever-you-are, please tell me about yourself." She stated calmly.

Canada knew why she didn't know his name, word is that S.H.I.E.L.D has some tech that can scan your face and everything about you will pop up, but all info on the nations is classified, deleted or requires top clearance.

Hopefully this place didn't find anything too important.

"Well," He started with his whisper-like voice, "My name is Matthew"

"Matthew what" She said it more as an order then a question, the tone making the timid male in front of her flinch slightly.

"Williams; Matthew Williams"

There was no harm in telling her his name, right?

She nodded, but it wasn't at him. Matthew could see that even though they were locking eyes the agent was nodding for her team to start trying to find information on a 'Matthew Williams'.

Smart.

Of course Matthew knew nothing would come up, the thought making a ghost of a smile appear on his features.

Smart, but flawed.

"Age?" The Russian questioned, in the same cold voice.

Matthew hesitated, immediately regretting it when he saw Natasha raise her eyebrows and watch him even more intently. He was sure she was mentally noting down his actions.

She was.

"N-nineteen..." He managed to stutter out. He said 19 due to appearance and such, and England had prepared some cover-up stories for him, thankfully.

19 is not his real age (duh), he has been alive for lifetimes.

Most people would have believed him when he said 19, but not special agent Black Widow, she was too good.

Natasha had developed the skill to read people throughout the years, she has met many liars, some very skilled. Not one has gotten past her.

19 was a reasonable age for someone like the blonde opposite her, but when she looked into his eyes, she saw something she hasn't seen in many people.

It was a wisdom and experience almost impossible for a young person to have. It was something she had only seen in one other person's eyes. Captain America's- Steve Roger's.

It was some kind of unexplained age, memories all clumped together to create a certain emotion appear in her heart when she looked into them.

Matthew Williams was lying.

Behind her back, to the one-way glass, she signed the word lie  to her team, notifying them he was not being honest.

"Ethnicity?" She continued.

"I'm Ca- I'm from Canada"

"Canadian? From what I know Canadians don't have the ability to turn invisible"

"I don't turn invisible" He says softly, Natasha sees he's not lying.

True, She signs to her team, who she was sure were all having shocked looks right now.

"Oh?" She inquires.

"People just..." His lavender eyes seemed to suddenly sadden, his head tilted downwards, making some of his hair (clichè-ly) cast a shadow on his eyes, "...Never seem to notice me"

Again Natasha felt a pang in her heart from the strange man's words.

When Matthew looked up again, he didn't look sad anymore. He had a sweet smile on his face, and the strange curl on his head seemed to sway re-assuringly.

"But that's not everyone, of course, my family loves me very much, even if we sometimes fight!" He seemed to be trying to comfort Natasha, sensing she felt some sadness when he talked about himself. Sometimes countries could do that to people.

Natasha looked confused. Why was he trying to comfort her? She is a trained agent! She is supposed to be hard to read, but this guy had seen right through her (which was ironic, because he was the invisible one).

Natasha just shrugged it off and continued to question him.

"Family?"

Whoops... Matthew thought, quickly trying to hide his nervousness.

"O-oh! Yes, uhm, I have my Papa, my... Father, and my brother."

"What are their names?"

Natasha got her hand ready behind her back, so she could sign to her team.

"Francis Bonnefoy"

True

"Arthur Kirkland"

True

"And..."

Matthew tried to randomly think of a cover name for Alfred. If he said Alfred F. Jones, that Captain America guy would get suspicious!

"A-Alex... Alex Jorden"

Lie
