Why would he have to lie about his brother's name?
That is what all the Avengers (plus Fury) were thinking... except for Captain America.
He knew exactly why.
He also knew exactly who the strange man's brother was; none other then Alfred F. Jones.
It was kind of obvious- they look almost exactly alike, and it mades sense... ok no it didn't, but Steve Rogers was sure that he was right!
He just needed to prove it, that's all.
But how?
"Let me talk to him-" Steve started, but was cut off by Fury:
"No. You've already tackled him and we want him to talk, not cry. You've done enough."
Steve grumbled but wisely kept quiet.
Suddenly The whole helicarrier started shaking, an agent burst into the room, looking panicked.
"Sir! An unidentified personal has broken into the Helicarrier via the fourth docking bay!"
"How is that possible?! We are 1 km in the air!!!" Fury screamed back.
Steve wasted no time running to (where he thinks the) fourth docking bay is, but then halfway there he stopped.
If this mysterious person is who he thinks it is, then he shouldn't go to the entry place- he should go to the target. The thing he's after.
Steve turned on his heels and ran straight back to the interrogation room.
"Back so soon? Did you find the intruder?" Hawkeye asked, Steve ignored him and turned to Fury.
"Sir! I believe this intruder is the man I have been looking for! 'Matthew's twin brother! I think he's heading here!"
Just after he finished speaking- before Fury could reply- there was a SMASH!!!
The wall behind Canada exploded abruptly, an obnoxious laugh filling the room;
"No need to fear, sidekick! The HERO is here!!!"
Yup. Steve was right.
Alfred F. Jones has entered the room. In this particular time, the 'F' stands for 'Fuck my life' if you are Canada.
Natasha leapt up from her chair and pulled out her gun, the rest of the team trying to get in but finding that the door has been locked and only Natasha has the key right now.
She's inside.
Damn.
"Hey Mattie! Miss me??? HHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHAA OF COURSE YOU DID!!!"
Canada just sighed in relief that he said 'Mattie' and not 'Canadia'.
"Iggy sent me 'ta come get 'ya so hERE I AM."
"Let's just go, this is embarrassing..." Mattie whispered, grabbing Kumajiro and bracing himself for what was about to happen.
"LOL OK"
Alfred wrapped an arm around his twin brother and saluted at Natasha, saying "It's been fun but I needa go so bYEEEEEE"
Natasha tried to shoot at him but before she could pull the trigger Thor broke the one-way glass behind her which cut her, making her drop her gun.
She scowled at Thor as he yelled about how breaking the glass was 'a much faster and better idea then using the door', with Nick Fury facepalming in the background.
Steve just watched as Alfred jumped through the hole in the wall, out of the Helicarrier and fall with his brother through the blue sky towards the ground below.
Just as Steve expected, Alfred didn't have a parachute.
