I, Keith Claes, could not believe this.

After all, they said that fools wouldn't get sick.

Yet...

"No good... This cake doesn't taste nice..."

My all-important big sister, Katarina Claes was falling ill.

She said that, munching on a cake all the while while tearing up, her nose all runny.

I didn't recall seeing any nobles falling ill that hyped. In fact, not only nobles, but within commoners, it's still quite rare.

"Nee-san, that's enough. What would you do if you get stomachache as well in addition to this flu?" I asked with a big sigh.

This slightly older sister of mine did not have her appetite dampen in the slightest despite of her condition. Even when she couldn't taste it.

"B-but, isn't it best for me to have as much nutrition as possible...?" She asked. I shook my head. After all, she'd already devoured enough food.

"No. Those cakes won't give you nutrition and you've had enough. You're probably better off sleep.".

I recalled to the events of yesterday which resulted in my sister's befallen.

"Nee-san, what were you doing?" I sent a cold glare towards her.

With an awkward face, she said in her defense, "No, well, I was just..."

"You could immediately go in when the rain came pouring down." I continued.

She was about to say something when she suddenly sneezed. I quickly snapped out from being an idiot. What was I doing, scolding her when she was still wet? Moreover, no matter how healthy Nee-san is, gauged from her overwhelming energy, she's still a soaked girl, whom I loved. And it's the season where getting sick was terribly easy.

Immediately, I ran to take a towel and draped it on her head. She was already tearing up due to her sneezes at this point. Of course, I felt sorry for her.

Furthermore, before being able to properly get a warm bath, Mother already got mad at her and gave her a thorough lecture, which she was barely able to listen. I noticed her unsteady body that could fall anytime, and I tried persuading Mother to continue it another time, which she fortunately agreed.

Jared was being forbidden from visiting because it's an important time of the year where all four princes would gather. Apparently, his older brother Geoffrey and Ian were coming to the palace. And if he caught the flu, it would be bad. He was really adamant about going, though. By the way, he sent some flowers with postcards.

Anne escorted Nee-san into her room. Although I did say that she was hyped up earlier, I think I was wrong after all. When she was all shaking like that.

Suddenly, Anne kneeled and I sensed something was off. I instantly rushed to the both of them.

"What's wrong?"

I saw Anne's cheeks that were slightly feverish. Ahh, it really was contagious after all.

"Anne, go rest. Other servants too, please help her. The others, tell Mother what happened and ask her to call a doctor."

The maids nodded at my command. One of them then stretched her hand towards my beloved sister.

"Shall we go, Katarina-sama?"

She then looked up and said, "This flu is contagious... Anne already got infected. So back off, okay?"

The maid just nodded, albeit slightly unsure. That's my Nee-san. To think of others before herself, that's so like her. However...
