Chapter 5: The History

I 

got up off my seat and Lynx followed me. We went to our next class which is supposed to be the history of afterlife academy.

"Good morning class." A voice out of nowhere said. We tried to find where the teacher is but failed. "Good morning teacher." We responded in chorus. "Where are you though?" A student asked while still trying to find where the voice is coming from.

"I am everywhere and at the same time nowhere. I am history itself, every story made, every betrayal did, and every victory won." The teacher said.

We all sat down slowly still trying to find where the voice came from. "I cannot be seen nor touched. I can only be heard from different mouths.

We gave up on finding the voice and sat down quietly.

A gush of wind suddenly rushed through the room. We closed our eyes that cannot take the force of the wind.

The wind suddenly stopped and we tried opening our eyes. We found ourselves not inside the classroom anymore but elsewhere. Complete darkness. No light is seen. In fact, we don't even know where we are standing at right now. "At first, everything was dark."

Then the scenery around us slowly had light. "Then God created Light to balance the darkness." We slowly saw clouds forming above us and water slowly touched our feet. We panicked as the water goes higher and higher until we can't feel the ground anymore.

"God then created the clouds and the oceans." We floated above water and were amazed by the scene above. Everything was dark as night but the stars were shining brighter than anyone has ever seen. At the middle, the moon shone the brightest. "God created the stars and the moon."

The scenery slowly turned bright and we were brought back to land.

The trees, plants, and flowers grew healthily on the ground. We also heard birds chirping, lions roaring, fishes were swimming in the sea and birds were flying in mid-air. "God then created the land, with trees, plants, and gave life to different creatures big or small."

Then we saw a bright light and it slowly extinguished and revealed a human without clothing. "And now, a human was given life."

We watched as Adam and Eve were walking happily. Suddenly, Eve encountered a snake and tempted her to take a bite from the fruit in the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve took a bite and offered Adam one as well. We saw how they became conscious on how they were not wearing anything to cover their private parts. We saw God became upset of this and banished them from the Garden of Eden.

"This was the first sin made by a human. They were tempted by a serpent." Adam and Eve had two sons which are Cain and Abel. We saw how Cain led Abel to a place and stabbed him to death.

"Abel was the first human to ever be in purgatory."

As time passed by, people were born and deaths happened. More humans were evil or committing sin than those who did good things. God was upset about this and gave the following new born babies the ability to talk with souls and help the souls to repent.

"God became glad and saw that it is balancing the good and evil. He made the 12 zodiac signs to guide these people and help them to be better. God also sent Fate as a way to inform the 12 zodiacs what to do on God's place." The voice explained then we suddenly returned back to the classroom. We found ourselves in our chairs and in a heads down position. I guess the voice made us unconscious and made our minds work while everything is like a dream.

"Class dismissed." The voice said that little by little faded. I feel dizzy like everything seemed to be going blurry. Maybe the thing that happened overwhelmed my brain too much.

I stood up and tried my best to walk normally but my surroundings were really blurry. I was about to collapse when someone suddenly held me on the shoulders.

"Are you okay?" A beautiful creature said. I can't tell whether it is a male or a female because it is wearing a hoodie so I called it a beautiful creature.

I nodded in response. He smiled and then walked towards the other direction.

I was about to continue walking when I bumped into someone. I got goose bumps when I saw that it was that beautiful creature again.

"You should watch where you're going idiot." The creature said grumpily and walked towards the direction it went earlier.

Wait, what? Why are there two of them? They both looked at me then smiled playfully. My head started to hurt more than before and everything went black.
