"UP AND OUT YOU DIRTY DISGUSTING PIECES OF SHIT!" A voice yells I sit up as I see Leo is still sleep, I shake him a little
"Leo wake up" I whispered, he open his eyes a little bit
"What?" He replied with a sleepy voice
"The guards are doing room checks" I reply
"What?!" He yells jumping up and looking out of the cell.
"What?" I ask as I put my shoes back on, he grabs me by my arm and pushes me out of his cell
"If that guard finds out you were in here with me overnight he'll assume we had sex or something now try to get out while you can, I'll see you tomorrow ok?" He says frantically, I nod and run down the hall towards the door and leave, then I call pen to come pick me up.
In the car she asked me what happened I still didn't tell her, she didn't need to know.
We went home and the rest of the day was easy and quiet. The rest of the night was the same quiet and easy
"MEL WAKE UP!" Pen shouts
"What what I'm up" I reply
"It's 5:30" she replies
We both get up and get dressed and went to school.
It was so awkward everyone was staring at me I didn't know what to do, I looked around and I didn't see Leo anywhere.
"What's wrong mel?" Pen asked me
"Huh? Nothing I'm just uncomfortable with the staring that's all" I reply
"Well come on" pen said holding on to my arm and guiding me to the science lab no one paid me any mind and I didn't mind. As I sat down at a table I began to wonder if Leo was caught and he couldn't come to school, he's probably late but I'm still worried....but why?
"MEL!" Pen yelled
"What what I wasn't doing anything" I reply
"I called your name like 10 times and you didn't answer, what's up?" She asked
"I'm just nervous that's all" I reply
"Well the bell is about to ring so let's get you to class" she reply hugging me, I nod and we both walk to my class room in mr.pedrifile class he was turned around towards his board so I sat in me seat. Pen left and the bell rung and class started.
The whole time I couldn't stop thinking about Leo, wondering if he's ok or if he's not which would be worse. I couldn't even do my work or focus every time I heard a noise at the door I hoped it was Leo but it never was.
"Miss white" Mr. P shouted, jumped and looked at him
"Huh?" I asked
"Meet me after class" he replied and he began class again, I was embarrassed people started whispering things and pointing at me.
After class I had went up to the front of the class and sat down in a seat knowing I haven't been to school in a while I'd had a ton of work to do.
"Come" Mr. p said, I got up and went to his desk slowly having a teacher just say that would be unsettling.
he mumbled
"Excuse me" I said
"Your boyfriend injured...almost killed my sons!" He yelled. I step back against the desk, he walks to me in tears....angry tears getting closer.
"What? I don't have a boyfriend" I replied, he grabs me by my neck and throws me to the ground,
"He murdered one of my sons! Broke their bones!" He screamed, I look at him pant and cry,
"I'm sorry for your sons i really am but I have no idea what your talking about" I reply
He grabs a picture on his desk and throws it at me, I froze and look at the 3 boys from my first day.... that Leo attacked. He took the gun from his his desk drawer and pointed it at me.
"He almost killed my boys and murdered one.....now I will kill you to make it even" he said, I closed my eyes and heard a loud gun shot, but I'm alive. What? I open my eyes to see him holding his side and pointing towards the door,
"What do you want you psychotic bastard!" He yelled
"You're trying to kill my little sister over this?" the person at the door said and another gun shot went off.
I crawled under the desk towards the door to see if it was who I thought it was. Once I got to the last desk I saw. It was a psychopath but not the one I was looking for.
"Hey baby sister, Miss me?" Apollo said smiling and walking towards me, I ran from under the table passed him and out the door as I run down the hallway there are multiple bodies of kids that were skipping class, I kept running I didn't look back I was too scared, as I ran I heard more gun shots and more yelling and screaming, I kept running until I got to a corner I hid there to catch my breath. I stood there for about a minute or two until a hand covers my mouth and the other holds my wrists, I can't move. I mumble for help but no one can hear me.
"Shut up, I'm trying to help you" a girly but brutish voice says as they drag me out and away from the hallway to the outside, they let me go I turn around to them and it's Jane.
"Jane?" I said she smiles and pats my head
"Hey, sorry for the scare but I knew you wouldn't trust me if I just said come on" she replied
"Thank you" I said she pushed me towards the woods behind the school.
"No problem, now go home or something, try to get help Apollo cut off all cell signals for a mile" she said, I nodded and ran into the woods and into streets until I see a car, a familiar car, but I can't remember where I saw it so I kept running.
"Mel?!" A voice shouted
"Melody!!" It screamed more I stopped running and heard fast foot steps, I waited til they got closer, the person touch my shoulder, I punched them and kicked them, but they grabbed my arm and turned me towards them. It was Leo,
"Calm down, its just me" he said, I was so scared the only thing I could do was hug him and cry I couldn't help it, he hugged me back and rubbed my head.
"Come on let's go home" he said, I didn't agree that as my "home" but it was safer then my home or school so I went with him, we got in his car and drove to his place.
"So why weren't you at school?" I asked
"I can't go to public areas until I'm clinically sane" he answered, I turned away and looked out the window and the school surrounded my cops and paramedics, but no Apollo.
"Are you ok?" He asked
"Huh? Yeah" I reply
"Your lying" he says laughing
"Fine, the teacher asked me to stay after class and I did he threatened to kill me with a gun Apollo shot him and they argued and he shot up the school ok?" I replied quickly hoping he didn't hear me correctly.
Leo stopped the car causing me to jerk forward and looked down,
"Apollo is alive?" He asked, I nodded. He takes out his phone and texts someone for awhile and then drove down the road at high speed.
"Where are we going?" I ask
"Away" he answers
"Away from what" I ask
"Just shut up, ok?! you'll see soon enough" he says angrily, so I shut up and stayed quiet the whole ride.
We crossed a few state lines and were now in New York but we still aren't there.
"Where are we going Leo?" I ask impatiently.
"Somewhere that you'll be safe, I'll explain when we get there now shut the fuck up!" he replies angrily, I nod and look away scared to make him any more angrier.
