“Next time Laura doesn't get to pick what we do even if she wins.” Robert grumbled looking skyward where there wasn't any evidence of such a thing.

“We have emergency supplies and light.” Savannah reminded the three as they stood there.

“Where do you think Laura and Greg fell?”

“Does not matter get myself out and forget this ever happened.” Dean was scanning the other side of the hole they fell into.

“It’s a cavern. Caverns here tend to be ...wealthy.” Savannah sounded distant -- she was somewhere else from the other two. She flicked her flashlight on, Robert and Dean guarding their eyes -- they now had more than one on and it’s blinding. She quickly apologized, “Sorry. So sorry. There has to be more than one way into this thing. You are not seeing something. We’re missing something.”

“She’s right.” Dean muttered throwing his flashlight against the ground. It flickered off, only Robert’s light illuminating everything around them.

Robert, turned started running his hand against the walls.

“The training, mine was pretty shit in comparison. But the previous groups who would find great spots but hid them from other groups -- they’d install a door. Nothing fancy just a way to.”

“To get back in once they came back.” Dean continued Robert’s words. He was now on the other side searching for a door, “Doors, tunnels, secondary entrance and exit..”

“Could be where Laura & Greg are.” Savannah jumped, tripping over her light landing hard into a wall, “Lord, if I --”

“Are you ok?” Robert asked.

She slid, “Yes, I just got overly excited and I caught myself. Better than when we dropped here. Couldn’t do anything and saw it all.”

“You watched as we fell into the ocean?”

“Yeah, everything but couldn’t move. I --” She paused shaking herself before standing up, “It’s whatever let’s find that door.”

She avoided Robert’s looks and continued walking around, hands gently running against the walls.

“I think I hit it.” She mumbled going back to where she tripped, “I think that’s it. I could be wrong.”

Robert and Dean went over, and both placing their hands where she said.

“Sorry.” Robert pulled away.

“Nothing to be sor-- Hey, Savannah I think you’re right.” Dean pressed his fingers into it, grabbing and pulling backwards. A small crawl-space met them.

“Were they midgets?”

“Or, just the easiest place to build. We all have lights nothing to be worried about.” Robert answered.

They dropped, Savannah deciding to go first -- she didn’t fight or anything just went. She wanted to be out of there as fast as she could.

Robert went next at Dean’s urgent request. Dean preferred to be the last he said, just in case it was the wrong way -- he could easily back out before anything happened.

Robert didn’t have to turn on his light, he had it tucked on his side while wiggling his way through the tunnel. The earth above, flaked around them. Savannah stopping every three to four scoots to shake the dirt off her face.

“What’s the hold up?” Dean would grumble every few minutes. They weren’t stopped for long but he was still pissier than ever.

“I slid. Chill back there. It just keeps -- “ her sentence cut off by a high pitch scream as she tumbled forward. Her light flickered around erratically. Robert hurried to catch up, slowed down at the point she fell. He followed the bursting light to see what happened.

She was slouched against a wall opposite of them.

“She didn’t fall far. This was definitely a hidden workspace.” Robert shouted to Dean as he pushed himself down to catch up with her. His false leg gently slide across the closer wall. He placed his weight in that direction to slowly ease himself down. He stumbled but was capable of catching himself.

Unlike Savannah, who probably thought there was more tunnel up ahead.

“She has the flashlight and missed the drop?” Dean asked. Robert looked up at him slightly worried the man could read his thoughts.

“I don't think they fell in here.” Both Robert and Dean jumped as they heard Savannah. She made her way back to her feet, “that is a walkway further in. No lights.”

“You okay?” Robert asked as they went in the direction she pointed.

“Yeah, kinda getting the hang of it being an absolute klutz.” The laugh was sad she kept going forward not wanting to continue the conversation.

“So, where did they go?” Dean muttered he was several steps ahead of Robert and Savannah. Once he had his mind set on finding a true exit that was his only focus. He hated how things were ran for this company. He hated that he agreed to do this with the group. He and everyone else was losing working hours trying to escape.

“Dean shouldn't we try to see what is in here?” Robert slowed.

“We can come back and do that. There's no reason to try to do more than one thing at a time.” Dean shouted from the front.

-----------

It was a calm fal she hadn't registered what happened until she met the Rocky floor below. Her lungs struggled as she got the wind knocked out. Her eyes blurred making her fearful of a possible concussion. She felt like she was spinning but she knew she was no longer falling.

She didn't hear Greg and never saw him fall. She quickly patted around trying to find her flashlight and tablet. She was the only one who bothered with bringing something they could call for help on.

This was meant to be a light trek to find new things. Hell, even known but hidden things. Gold she reminded herself. She wanted an adventure but her goal was to find the gold.

She stood up struggling to see anything around her she got to her feet. There was a small blue light in the distance. She followed it assuming that there was light then there was a way to get through.

There is light it could be where everyone else fell. Someone had to have fell with something useful.

She continues to walk through the weaving entryways  but the light continues to feel far. Almost like she was on a treadmill pretending to get a head.

“Fuck.” Her voice echoed. Rocks tumbling and quick hush voices. She walked that direction. Just a few steps away from one another.

“I apologized already.” Greg's booming gruff voice almost dropped her. She could not hear the other person but it didn't sound like anyone on their team.

Rocks clacked as she stepped. Mortified she started to walk backwards.

“Who is out there?” Greg's voice but crankier. She didn't like the way he sounded. A flick of the yellowish flashlight blinded her as she fought to cover her eyes.

There was Greg and someone standing near by. She couldn't see who the other person was. She heard chatter of in the way.

“Oh, Laura, I am sorry.” Greg lunged towards her.

Robert and I went on a beautiful walk, sister. We have decided to be adventurous seeking out some unknown part of the planet. Maybe we could be in the papers detailing what we found. Maybe we could get enough for it to start saving for a wedding. No, that's too big to assume maybe a family get together so you all can meet him. In some place fancy, I don't know what or where that would be near us.

We will be there soon. Man, do I miss home. It is getting too cold here.
