The Teen Avengers

Chapter 1- Fury comes

My day started out like any other day: being a teenaged super hero. Woke up, had breakfast, flew around town with my big bro, and saved a family from a burning building. Pretty normal in my eyes, but my day got as normal as a fire liking water when director Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D came to my family's apartment building. Well, it's more like the top ten floors in the Baxter building. Yes, I live with the Fantastic Four. It gets even better... The Human Torch and the Invisible Woman are my siblings!! Pretty cool, right? We're just a family of super heroes living above New York.

When Nick Fury came up, Johnny and I just got back from flying around Manhattan and Queens, "Johnny! That was so much fun! The way how we saved that family? It was great!" I said as I flew back into the living room,

"Yeah! We should do that tomorrow!"

"I completely agree with you!" Johnny and I laughed as we sat down on our family room's couch and started to ready our PS3 for a round of call of duty.

Johnny is your average seventeen year old guy. He's blonde, blue eyed, muscular, cocky, and an expert at video games. You can usually find him or playing pranks on Ben Grimm. When Johnny plays a prank on Ben it turns into a prank war between Ben and Johnny. Trust me; some of the outcomes are really funny. Yeah I play sidekick with him. I am his right hand man (or should I say woman) when it comes to prank wars. How could I not? He's my best friend and I look up to him. Even though he can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

"Johnny! Alexa! " My sister Susan called from the other room, "There's someone here to see both of you!"

I groaned. We were just about to start a round! "Be right there, Sue!" Johnny called back to her. He sighed and shut or PS3 off and we both placed our controllers on the coffee table. Johnny and I walked to our other living room down the hall to talk to Susan.

Sue is also a Blondie with blue eyes like Johnny and me, but totally different persona. She can be kind and sweet at times, but when she gets angry she explodes! She is a scientist so she's really smart about stuff and she knows the meaning of five syllable words and stuff like that, which make Me and Johnny yawn.

We walked in and we saw Nick Fury sitting on one of our multiple couches,

"What is he doing here?" Johnny asked once we recognized him.

Nick is usually the one who makes us busted when Johnny and I (sometimes Ben) get in trouble for doing something so Johnny and I were probably both thinking: What did we do this time?

"I'm here for you two." Nick said, eyeing us with his good eye.

"Us?" Johnny and I both said in unison,

"Yes. You."

"Well, what for then?" I asked pointedly.

"I have been assigned to bring you in for special training and lessons so you can know how to be better equipped to fight for mankind."

"In other words: A School." Susan said.

"Uh, but school just ended. You know, summer break?" Johnny said.

"You are required to come. No objections."

"But I object! I don't want to go to a summer school!" I said loudly.

"Alexa, I already told director Fury that you and Johnny are going." Susan said. I groaned,

"Ugh! I don't want to go!"

"You'll get to live on the Helicarrier." Susan said in a singsongy voice. That caught my attention.

"The Hellicarrier? The big flying boat in the sky, Helicarrier?"

"Is there any other one?" Susan smiled.

"The Helicarrier! Oh my gosh! I get to live on the base of S.H.I.E.L.D?!" I jumped up in excitement. "Awesome!! I can't wait!"

"So I suggest that your tail end in gear and come with me." Nick said.

"We're leaving now? As in right now?" I asked, excitement edging my voice.

"Yes. Susan already packed your stuff and it's in your room on the Helicarrier already." I gasped. Awesome! But my excitement was short lived,

"Sue." I said in a serous tone. "I hope you packed my favorite clothes." I said pointing a finger at her. She face palmed and groaned a bit,

"I packed your favorite jersey..." I smiled,

"Yes!" I did a fist pump in the air.

"Storms, come with me. It's time for your training." Nick started walking towards our stairway leading to the landing pad on our roof. I was so excited I couldn't contain my self! I kept jumping and I skipped after Nick.

"Oh, wait!" I stopped and ran up to Susan and have her a hug. "Thanks! See you later!" Susan chuckled a little and hugged me back.

"I'll miss you." She kissed the top of my head and smoothed my choppy blonde hair back,

"Sue!" I backed away from her, "don't do that!" I ruffled my hair with both hands back into the mess it once was in. "I like my hair like this, thank you." She laughed and shooed me off.

Johnny and I said our goodbyes to Egghead (otherwise known as Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic) who was busy building something in his laboratory. He barely knew we were there but H.E.R.B.I.E told him we were leaving.

"Farewell guys." He said quickly before returning his attention back to his project. That's egghead for you.

Saying goodbye to Ben was better. I gave him a big hug around his rocky exterior,

"Bye Ben! I'll miss you!"

"I'll miss you too, Lexie." He deep rough voice replied as he hugged me lightly or else he would have crushed me. Johnny gave him a hug too surprisingly.

"Bye buddy!" Johnny said. I was still surprised he'd hug Ben but then when Johnny and I were leaving and Ben's back was turned I saw a piece of paper taped to his back with the words "kick me" on it. I turned around and looked at Johnny as we walked over to Nick,

"Johnny-"

"Last minute gift." He interrupted with a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes and joined Nick on the launch pad.

On our launch pad, a S.H.I.E.L.D Quin-Jet was waiting for us to board. I stood they for a second juts taking in all of this. The pure excitement I was in. I get to visit S.H.I.E.L.D! I sighed and strode up the ramp to the jet. Two soldiers saluted to Nick as he boarded and the ramp behind me lifted. "Cool..." Johnny and I sat down in the seats on the sides of the jet and it lifted off the launch pad. Here we go! Onto the Helicarrier!
