Burnt Pizza

Sodapop and Pony tried to calm me down in the church parking lot.

But it hurt so bad for Darry to be with someone and lied to us.

Sodapop whispered to me, "Hey, calm down cause here he comes."

I tried to get myself together and put on a fake Lollipop smile.

As soon as Darry told her goodbye, he headed our way as we pretended we didn't see anything.

Darry smiled picking me up and said, "Hey baby girl, how was church."

Ponyboy said, "Just fine."

Soda then asked, "Yeah Church was great, how was your business meeting."

He put extra emphasis on the words business meeting.

I rested my head on Darry's shoulder closing my eyes tightly.

Darry shrugged and said, "It was great."

I felt my eyes water again realizing that he's lying even more now.

Soda quickly said, "Well, we better go or I'm going to be late for work."

Darry nodded and said, "Ok, I'll drive you there."

Darry loaded me in the backseat slowly acting as if I were really asleep.

Then, him and Sodapop got up front while Ponyboy got in the car beside me.

I rested my head on his shoulder as the tears started up again.

I turned my head so Darry wouldn't be able to see in the mirror.

Before I knew it I was falling fast asleep.

The voices of everyone in the car died out and all I could hear was the quietness.

When She Wakes Up...

It was dark and I was laying down.

I sat up and looked at all my surroundings to notice I was in my room.

Must have fallen asleep on the ride home and one of my brothers laid me down.

My stomach was growling and my head was hurting even worse then this morning.

As I stood up, I fell back down on the floor that hit with a thud.

I couldn't help but start to sob as my head felt heavy and began to hurt with unbearable pain.

My bedroom door was open in a matter of seconds and before I knew it the whole gang came pounding in.

I was crying, I was hungry, and I was in pain and I don't even know why.

Darry was the first one to look at me as he asked, "What hurts, Lollipop."

Still crying, I grabbed my head showing him what part hurts.

My head became very sensitive to light and sound as Two-bit turned my light on.

It felt as if it were throbbing.

Darry gave me one sleeping pill as I dozed off once more today.

I let the dark air take over when I closed my eyes.

Waking Up A Second Time...

I woke up in a sweat.

Where was I?

There was no sound to be made I stood up and looked around to notice I was in the living room.

I looked out the living room window to see it was light out.
