Chapter 4

Cameron's POV

We got to the beach and all hopped off our boards.

"Welcome to my turf!"

The girls were in awe and the boys grinned.

Dylan looked to me and smiled, "This is awesome! I wish I lived here, ugh sometimes living in New York sucks!"

"Hey! New York is really nice, I would love to live in that city!"

She laughed and looked back out at the beach.

"Follow me, I'll show you around!"

Everyone followed and I led them towards a group of kids in the middle of the beach.

Dylan's POV

"Hey are those the O2L guys?"

Cameron nodded, "Yeah they're here for a bit and I told them we could meet up!"

Oh my God!

The boys said hello and then Cameorn spoke, "This is Andrea, Aaron's girlfriend, and Dylan, Matt' ex."

Ow.

I smiled and waved.

Connor looked to me, "We are pretty big fans of you girls, you've done a lot to help out with MagCon."

I smiled, "Thanks! I'm a huge fan of you guys too!"

Cameron started laughing, "Well since it's the girls first day in California I was going to show them around, wanna come?"

The guys looked to each other and all nodded.

When we started to walk down the beach Connor went around everyone and started walking next to me.

"So, Dylan, how yah doin?"

I let out a small giggle and shrugged, "Walking next to Connor Franta, and you?"

"Walking next to Dylan Commons."

"I can't believe I'm meeting you!"

"And I cannot believe I am meeting such an attractive woman such as yourself."

I felt my cheeks get hot, no no Dylan don't blush, awh shit.

"Why thank you."

After a few hours it felt as though I knew the boys my whole life, we spent the day walking along the board walk and taking goofy selfies, along with the occasional pit stop at the ice cream shoppe.

Sam spoke up, "We were gonna come back to the beach around 9 and hang out, wanna come?"

Aaron smiled and nodded, "We'd love to! For now we're gonna head home and wash up, see yah later!"

While we started heading back to Cameron's he pulled me off to the side to talk, "I can see that you like Connor."

I blushed and shrugged, "He's really cute and nice, maybe I do."

Cameron looked to me, "Listen, he's a nice guy, I think he'd be good for you but you don't need to rush anything."

"I understand your concern Cameron, but I want to live on the edge this summer, I want to have fun and forget about my past, let me do that please."

He smiled, "Don't get any STD's on your living on the edge summer."

Cameron yelled from outside the door, "C'mon girls we're gonna be late."

I looked in the mirror one last time, I was wearing white shorts, a floral bustier, and my hair was in loose curls.

Andrea and I walked out, following the boys back towards the beach.

"So Dylan, are you gonna hook up with Connor?"

She nudged me and wiked and I laughed. "I don't know, I just want to have fun for once, but I barely know him!"

"I say go for it, you deserve happiness!"

I laughed as we walked over to the boys.

"Hey guys! Wanna make a bonfire?"

We all nodded and started helping out.

Connor came over to me and started helping be gather sticks.

"Wanna go on a walk for some sticks?"

I laughed and nodded.

"We'll be back, we're gonna see if theirs some more stuff down the beach!"

Andrea gave me a I know your lying but have fun anyways look.

"So, Dylan, tell me about yourself."

I shrugged, "Well, my names Dylan, I'm 16 and my brother died of cancer at age 13. My mother committed suicide shortly after and my father had run away with my little sister when I was young. He surfaced awhile ago but he was murdered and we just recently found my sister. I was in a commuted relationship with Matt but when I fell in a coma he cheated on me. So yah that's my story."

Connor stopped and looked at me, "I'm so sorry Dylan, that's awful."

I bit my lip, "It's okay, I'm getting better."

"It's so weird of Matt to do that, you deserve somebody who will treat you right."

I smiled and continued walking along the beach.

I was walking and tripped over a log, Connor tried to catch me but ended falling on top of me.

"Oh my God are you alright?"

I giggled, "Yeah, but you know your still on top of me right?"

"I know, I don't mind... unless you do."

Oh shit, "Not entirely."

"Would you mind if I did this?"

He leaned closer and pressed his lips to mine.

Adrenaline ran through my body, it felt so good to be with somebody and to feel this rush.

His hands found their way to my waist and he pulled me up to a standing position.

After a few minutes our lips parted and he looked to me, "Well your one amazing kisser,"

I blushed, "You are too."

He grabbed my hand and motioned me to follow him, "C'mon we should probably get back now."
