Dylan's POV

Apirl, Senior Year.

"Lisa! I got in, oh my God I actually got in!"

I ran down the stairs and into her arms.

"Oh my gosh Dylan I'm so proud of you!"

I hugged her back and felt an extra pair of hands wrap around me, "Yay!"

I smiled at Lilly and started jumping up and down.

"I cannot believe in a few moths I will be leaving for Maryland! Oh my goodness I actually got into college!"

Lisa laughed and wrappped her arms around me again, "Of course you did, your such a smart girl. Your mother and Tanner would've been so proud of you Dylan."

I smiled and let a tear roll down my cheek, "I just wish they were both still here, I've always wanted to share this moment with them. And my wedding, and my heartbreaks, and children... ugh."

She reached her hand up and wiped my tear, "Shh, there there. It's okay Dyl."

I nodded, "I have to go call Chris!"

I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone, I had one unread message.

I opened it and felt my heart drop.

Chris: Hey Dylan... we need to talk, please come over. I love you.

I grabbed my keys and ran down the stairs.

"I'll be back."

I walked up to the door of Chris's door and knocked.

He opened it and smiled, letting me in.

"Hey babe."

I let out a sigh of relief, at least he isn't breaking up with me.

We walked into the living room and he took a seat on the couch.

"Hey Chris, oh my God guess what!"

He smiled, "What?"

"I got into Maryland University!"

He jumped up from the couch and picked me up, spinning me around.

"Oh my God! I'm so happy for you!"

I smiled and kissed him.

"Me too, we should celebrate."

I winked at him and then his expression changed.

"What?"

"Dylan, I'm moving."

"W-what? Where, not far right?"

He pulled me in tight and rested his head against the top of mine, "My dad got a job offer two weeks ago, I didn't know when to tell you. I guess no time is perfect. We're leaving tomorrow morning."

I pulled away and looked up to him. I was hurt, "Why the hell didn't you tell me sooner? You're giving me a days notice, you know that right?"

He nodded, "Dylan, I'm sorry. I just, I cannot take saying goodbye to you."

"How far?"

"What?"

"How far are you moving Chris?"

"We're moving to Washington, Washington state."

I swallowed hard, "So what does this mean for us?"

"I don't think I'll be able to handle being away from you. I hate having to say goodbye Dylan, but I have to."

"We can make it work Chris, I know we can."
