Loving You {Book Three}

Chapter 10

Andrea's POV

When I got back to the guest house Dylan had already brought her bags downstairs.

I walked up the stairs with a smile on my face, I had great news.

For one, me breaking up with Aaron was painless, and two, Matthew still loves Dylan.

I knocked quietly on her door, "What do you want?"

I could tell by her nasly voice that she had been crying, I opened the door, Dylan was lying on the perfectly made bed, but unlike the bed, she was a disaster.

"Dylan are you okay?"

She gave me a look and shook her head, "No, of course I'm not. I can't stop thinking of how different things would be right now if I never went into a coma."

I bit my lip and sat beside her, "C'mon Dyl, I know it hurts but you have to keep your head up high and get through this. You have so many people here supporting you."

Dylan's POV

"I don't want this to come off bitchy, but the only person I want right now is Matt. I love Matt and I always will, just please. I switched my flight to tonight and I'm leaving in an hour, just let me say goodbye to everybody before I leave, I'll see you at home okay?"

She got up from where she sat and pulled me into a hug.

I wrapped my arms around her and hugged back, "Thank you for being an amazing best friend, I just want to go home and get ready to go back to summer school and see Lillian."

She pulled away and laughed, "I know, I know, I'm not mad at you! I will see you when you get home. But wait, I need to tell you something."

I was already half way out of the door when I turned around, standing in the door frame and facing her.

"Yeah?"

"When I went there to talk to Aaron, I may or may not have eavesdropped."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "And? What did you hear?"

"Matt was screaming at Connor for hurting you... Dylan, he said he loved you."

I felt my breath catch and water filled the brim of my eyes, "W-what?"

"Yeah, Connor said how all he wanted was your body and that he got it but Matt wouldn't remember. And then Matt said how he didn't care if he didn't remember because he loves you and he hates how he left but now he has to stay with Kasey."

"You know what really pisses me off? The fact that he doesn't have to stay with her, if he really loved me he would leave her in a heart beat."

I walked out of the room, down the stairs, and out the door.

I walked across the driveway and into the main house, "Cameron?"

I heard footsteps and he appeared at the bottom of the stairs with a smile on his face, "Hey Dylan, what's up?"

"I got an earlier flight, I need to leave here in 30 minutes to get to the airport. Do you think I can get a ride from you?"

"Of course, why are we leaving so early?"

I shrugged and looked away, "Too much going on, I don't want to stay another night."

He nodded, "I understand, you should know that Matt stood up to Connor for you."

I bit my lip, "I know."

"Why not you go say goodbye to the boys, Nash and Aaron are upstairs, and Matthew's on the roof, he's pretty upset."

I walked towards the stairs without a word.

When I got to the room Nash and Aaron were in I knocked quietly then walked in.

Both of them smiled and waved, Nash spoke first, "Hey Dylan! What's up?"

"I'm leaving soon, I just wanted to say goodbye."

Both their faces looked sad, I walked over to Aaron and pulled him in for a hug, then did the same with Nash.

"I'm most likely not going to be touring with MagCon anymore, I am going to be busy senior year then I need to focus on college, please stay in touch."

Aaron spoke, "What? No, you can't leave us."

"I'm really sorry, stay in touch okay? I have to go now, I love you guys, thanks for everything."

Without another word I left and headed to Matt's room.

I peered in and saw a slightly open window, I walked over and opened it more so I could fit through.

Once I was on the roof I saw Matt sitting there, his knees up to his chest.

I tip-toed silently on the roof and sat myself next to him.

"I'm sorry."

I looked to him, "Why?"

"I screwed up. I left the most important girl in my life at her most vulnerable time, I'm such a dick."

"Well I'm not gonna deny that, but I'm over it, really don't sweat it."

He let out a small nervous laugh, "I know when you're lying Dyl."

I cringed slightly at my name and the way it sounded on his tongue. "Thanks for sticking up for me, but I am leaving in 10 minutes for the airport."

"What?"

"Yeah, I don't want to stay so I caught an early flight."

He nodded, "I hope we can still be friends."

"Sure, I would like that."

"Matt, can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"This may be a weird request, but it's been on my mind for awhile. All I want is one last kiss, one last kiss from the boy who turned my world inside out, the one who made my heart melt and still does. The one who broke me more than I thought was possible, the one that I still love even though he doesn't love me back."

After a couple seconds of silent I felt his strong arms wrap around my small frame. He pulled our bodies close and his brown eyes locked to my blue ones.

He lifted his hand to my face and brushed my cheek, with that he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine.

Our bodies moved with one another and after a second or so his tongue brushed against my bottom lip. At first I was hesitant but then I accepted.

Two minutes later we pulled apart.

I stood up carefully and looked down at him, "Goodbye Matthew Espinosa, I hope you go far in life, and that you and Kasey live happily ever after."
