Chapter 2: Last Game

???'s POV:
           
"Finally, it is another time." I said in a bored manner, while watching the whole thing using my binoculars.

"I'm a bit surprised that she suddenly did that in front of her... beloved students. She even thinks that I will do it again." suddenly, my dark attitude devours me.

"But, don't worry Sayaka-sensei, the sins seven won't be the only students that will die here. This time, everyone will have the chance to get a free ticket to hell." I then burst a creepy smile, almost reaching my cheeks.

"Oh well, time to get closer on them."

3rd Person's POV:

The students of Rising Hope are nervous, nervous of who will be the investigators, and who will be the preys. The principal cleared her throat then she spoke as calm as she can.

"Without further ado,  let's get to the announcement. First, for the Chastity, we have
Fukudo Ryori-san." as the principal announced, a tall, dark-blue haired male student wearing glasses stood up. He stood very strong, and very calm.

"Next, for Generosity, we have Hyori Sakura-san." then a sophisticated-looking female student with a stiff and still attitude stood up. She crosses her hands, looking like an intimidating girl.

"Third, for Temperance is Ichijyo Shoichiro-kun and Fukuda-san." then two students, the male wearing P.E. uniform and performing jump and reach, and the female also wearing P.E. uniform doing stretches, stands up. They were at their full spirit, and energetic.

"Fourth, for Kindness is Kogorime Reighz-san." he stood up, a bit shocked being one of them. He stands a bit pressured, then he calmed down.

"Fifth, for Humility, well... he's not actually here with us. So, next, for Diligence, we have Keishoiro Rika-san." a
light gray-haired female student stood up, very serious and
bossy-looking.

"And last, for Patience, we have Kotori Miku-san." a dark purple-haired female student wearing a red headband stood up, calmed outside but shocked and nervous inside.

"Now that our Values Seven has been revealed, we should move on to--" suddenly, a thick fog of dust suddenly appear out of nowhere in the podium where the principal is. Quickly, the teachers moved the students away from the stage. A male teacher suddenly rushed to where the principal was standing before what happened to check if the principal isn't harmed. But minutes after, the teacher didn't get back. The other teachers got nervous, as where did the principal and the male teacher went. The dust is still as thick as smog, so they can't go to the direction the teacher went.

"Sensei, we should use the gymnasium fans so that we can blow away the dust!"
Fukudo said to the other teachers. As they agree, the male teachers took the 5 fans around the gym and point them into the   podium to blow away the dusts. Everyone was shocked what they saw.

The teacher that is just checking the principal, is already dead, lying near the backstage. His corpse had many wounds and scratches,it is impossible for someone to get those in just a few moments. What's even worse, he has a hole in his chest, seeing the empty insides of the body of the poor teacher. Almost everyone goes nuts. Some students cry, some screams. Some are angry, some are calm.
Suddenly, a clap has echoed at the backstage. It is so loud that everyone turn around.

"Majestic! What a great performance! This is exactly what I want everyone to feel! DESPAIR." the stranger said then cackle a bit. Its outfit is very classy, a white tuxedo, a white cape and a matching white top hat. Its face is covered in a mask, making its identity not exposed.

"W-who are you? Where did you come from?"
Ensuzawa Makine-sensei, one of the new teachers asked the masked man.

"Pfftt... teachers these days. Anyway, since this is my last game, I should introduce myself to my toys."

"Toys? What do--"

"It's the culprit, sensei. He's the one that did those holocaust killings that happened years ago." Hyori said. Everyone was shocked to hear that that is the culprit.

"Bingo! You got it, Hyori-chan!"
it said. It jumps down the podium, then head into everyone.

"So you're the one who killed those innocent students, how dare you!" Korudo-sensei said, then tries to catch it. But the culprit quickly dashed, then pulled out a double pistol on its pockets. The teacher flinch, not wanting to be killed.

"Ha! That was so close, but you didn't catch me!" the culprit teased, then laugh a little.

"You--"

"Shh... Shh... Don't move or else... you'll die in front of your principal's beloved students." the culprit said. Not wanting to die, he didn't move as the culprit demanded.

"Good. Anyway, allow me to introduce myself. Instead of calling me culprit all the time, you should called me
Grim Culprit. Also, don't forget I'm a he!" he said.

"Enough babbling, where's the principal?!" Korudo-sensei asked.

"Oh, your beloved principal? Well, don't worry she's not dead...
yet." he then laughed manically, almost catching his breath after that. Korudo-sensei thought that this is his chance, so he tried again to catch him. But the culprit quickly dodged him, then shot him 5 times. As the body of the teacher falls, others became more terrified. They don't want to become like them.

"P-please, don't kill us! You just want to end the life of the Sins Seven, right? T-then kill them!" A female teacher nervously said to the culprit.

"Ha? Who said they're the only that will be killed?! Baka!" he then laugh again.

"W-what do you mean?" the female teacher asked. Suddenly, the female teacher got shot in the head by the culprit. Everyone got shocked again. As the female teacher falls, he points the double pistol to the others.

"Let me finish talking first!" he shouts like a giant man scolding a little kid.

"If you want not to die, then let me finish talking!!" his voice is very loud, even at outside of the enclosed gymnasium can hear it.
He calms down, then he cleared his throat.

"Sorry for that. Anyways... minna-san, welcome to my last game of the Dark Void! I'm Grim Culprit, your one and only culprit on the past years' holocausts!" his attitude becomes cheerful, that what happened ago is like nothing.

"Anyways, I will call it, The One Year-Long Holocaust!" everyone was shocked from what he said. Then, murmurs occured, which makes the Grim Culprit pissed off and shot the talkative ones. As the students got silent out of despair, he continues again with the cheerful attitude.

"As the name suggest, this is going to take a year! A killing that will take a long time! Isn't it... EXCITING?!" his voice is creepy and eerie, but he still had the cheerful attitude.

"A-anyway, where is
Sayaka-sensei?" a female teacher asked.

"Hm? That bastard? Don't worry, she's just at the backstage, unconscious." the teachers sighed, but still nervous.

"Okay, see you guys... IN THE DARK VOID!!" he laughed manically, then suddenly vanished in thin air.

Everyone calmed down, and mourn on the killed teachers and students. The others waste no time and quickly went to the backstage. And indeed, she's unconscious and tied in a chair.
They untied her and get her out there.

Hours later, police and ambulances are everywhere in the grounds. The police checked everywhere to find the culprit but never it to seen. Other students sent to hospital, and others are sent home. The corpses of teachers and students are sent to funerals or morgues for their families to take them. They can't believe that this is happening on them. And this is the first round, of their year-long survival against him.

Sayaka's POV:
"How did she know?"
