Chapter 1: Verdict

Principal's POV:

I thought that the spring this year will be a peaceful one. But I didn't expect that... today is the day again, the day that I will announced the values seven and the sins seven.

I nervously waited in my office as Korudo-sensei speaks at the Bushido Gymnasium. My heart is racing... I don't know what to do... What if.. what if that killer do that thing again? My heart is racing faster...faster and faster... My hands and whole body are trembling in fear... like I'm in a middle of a blizzard night...

Suddenly, the door in my office started to open, causing me to shriek, like I'm a 5 year-old girl screamed after a jumpscare in a horror movie.

"Principal, sensei is waiting for you."

"Oh...! I-it's only you, Hakudo-sensei..." seeing that it is only one of the teachers, I sighed in relief and calmed.

"Principal, it is okay even if you don't announce this year's--"
he was surprised as he heard the loud smash I did in my desk as I stand up.

"It's okay, Hakudo-sensei.. I need.. we need to continue this program. We really need to capture that culprit. And if I don't, the whole school will just go back to were it was 8 years ago." Proving that I'm very sincere to catch that culprit, I said...

"If I don't catch that killer, the same day as the corpses of the sins seven will be found, you and everyone will also found me dead, hanged in this room."

Then I took my leave.

Reighz's POV:

Everyone's listening intently and carefully as the emcee is speaking infront.

I'm just transferred here 4 days ago, but hearing the rumors that circulated here, makes me feel that I wanted to quit. But, I can't.. They don't allow students transfer out of this school. So we're like birds that are caged in a big aviary, with no means of escape.

But as the other students murmuring on their friends or on themselves, we have to continue this for ourselves. If the prize as one of the values seven is security, then we'll be protected...maybe forever. Or even, get out of this school.

"Reighz-san..." Miku-chan holds the back of my sleeve. I smiled wisely then patted her head.
Kotori Miku-chan is one of the people here in this independent school that I first became friends with.

"It's okay, Miku-chan... Everything will be alright." then I looked again at the emcee.

"And now here's a speech of our principal, Principal Okide Sayaka-sensei." then the emcee signalled us to clap. We have no choice but to obey, as our life depends on her speech.

"Thank you Korudo-sensei for being our emcee today." then she started discussing about the past killings that happened. I can see the nervousness at the eyes of the principal. She still speaks calmly and firmly, even though I can see that she is trembling, nervous that the rumored holocausts will happen again. After five minutes of dicussing, her attitude suddenly changed a bit, and she changed the topic to...

"Students of Josho Kibo Dokuritsu Gakko, if one of you were announced as one of the values seven or sins seven, please be obidient at what I will request." She suddenly gets serious. Everyone shocked of what the principal said. Suddenly, a student stand up on his seat.
