Chapter 1

Emily looked at the clock tick and tock," Emily?" The teacher asked, Emily, looked up to see an annoyed teacher," Yes?" She asked," Were you listening to what I was saying?"  Emily shook her head," Nope." Emily grinned," Then I'll see you in detention" The teacher smirked but it slipped away when she didn't get the reaction she was expecting," I'll be there." Emily said cheerfully with a huge grin on her face

  the teacher ignored her and opened her mouth to speak but the bell rang and everyone rushed out cheering on their way out while I headed to detention ' I hope he comes' Emily thought and she reached the door of detention when she entered it the place was trashed all over the place kids threw paper airplanes and it was really noisy

  she took a seat at the back and she tapped her feet impatiently looking at the empty seat next to her like it would disappear if she looked away but a dark brown head caught her eye and there he was staring at her, he took the seat next to her and she couldn't get her eyes off him but the teacher came and made detention longer because of the mess the kids made.

After detention (the whole time Emily was staring at Joel)

 While the kids rushed out they were alone," He-y." Joel stuttered that made Emily blush," Hi Joel." Emily said a little too quieter than she anticipated," Wanna go to the movies some time?" Joel said a little embarrassed because he looked away, Emily blushed even more," Sure." Emily said strengthening her voice so it didn't sound like a whisper.

Home ( Emily's POV)

  "MOM!! I'm home." My mother just sat on the couch reading like she hadn't heard me," I also got asked on a date." My mother snapped her book shut and stood up," Really?" My mother asked disbelief clearly in her voice," Or were you just trying to get my attention?"  I shook my head and took a step back," It's true I got asked on a date." My mother started screaming and gave me a bear hug

 " My baby girl is a woman now." I pushed her back pouting," I'm not a baby." I said pouting," not anymore." was her response and I calmed," Before you start jamming me questions all at once his name is Joel." My mother grinned," So how did he ended up asking you on a date is there something I don't know about?" I knew what she meant, she was basically asking me if I was flirting with him or if I was just that pretty," No, he's my crush and I guess he probably had a crush on me too..."

 My mother just shook her head playfully," I'm gonna make dinner I'm gonna make the favorites since today we're celebrating you and me." I just roll my eyes and jump on the couch," I would be excited but knowing the reason I'm not so better to make mashed potatoes before I throw stuff at you." I replied to my mother with an attitude that says I'm pissed off, well I won't actually throw stuff at her just a pillow and such.

I grabbed the remote and turned the TV on and cartoon network popped up so switched to next channel which was Nickelodeon so I just pressed the numbers which were the News the women on the News started talking and I spotted the banner saying New appeal: $1000  if you kidnapped 1 mutant, $100 if you killed 1 mutant money will be given to you by the government, if spotted helping the mutants you would be sent to jail.," The government has made a new Appeal for the mutants you cannot kill other humans but you can kill mutants and allowed to kidnapped them if you want 10 times more money"
