"Alright, Brynn. Ready to go?"

"Just a minute, Dad. Let me say goodbye to mum."

Marcus sighed. "You've said goodbye three times already."

"And your point is...?" Brynn ran off to go find her mother. The two women nearly crashed into each other, as Brynn turned the corner to the kitchen.

"Merlin, Brynn! Come to say goodbye again?"

"I'm not going to see you until Christmas and-"

"Only joking. Come here, baby girl." Elle wrapped her daughter in a bone crushing hug. Brynn hugged her back, before wrestling away.

"I don't need to choke before I die from lack of sleep."

"Right. Now, I want to talk to you about your O.W.L.s. Remember, it's never too early to start studying."

Brynn rolled her eyes. "I know, mum, I know." She started to walk away, but her mother stopped her.

"One more thing. I was wondering if you would like to have a friend come here for Christmas. You've never had anyone here and if their parents are ok with it..."

"Yes! Of course I would! Thank you!" Brynn hugged her mum again, afterwards rushing off to join her dad by their fireplace.

"Alright, in you get."

She climbed in the fireplace with her trunk in hand.

"King's Cross Station!"

----------------------------------------------

Brynn whizzed out of the fireplace in the middle of the... whatever you could call it. There was a small building with just a fireplace and some trolleys for those who needed floo powder to get to the train. Marcus zoomed of the fireplace right behind his daughter.

"Dusty in there, isn't it?" The two brushed theirselves off and Brynn grabbed a trolley. She loaded her trunk onto it and her dad loaded her broom and owl, Scotia.

"Let's go, then." The young woman sprinted off to find Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

"Brynn, wait for your old man dad!" Marcus jogged to catch up with his energetic daughter. Brynn stopped running to wait up for him.

"Sorry 'old man dad.'"

"Alright. Now, just run through the wall an-"

"Dad, this is my fifth year. I've got this."

"Alright, alright. Bye, sweetie. Love you." He kissed her on the head.

"Ok, dad. Don't embarrass me."

"Yes ma'am. Bye." Marcus walked off and Brynn ran through the wall that led me to Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

"Miss MacArthur, welcome back!" A hand grabbed Brynn's wrist, spinning her around and dipping her.

"How's it going, Owen?" She looked up to see her good friend, Owen Adams, staring back at her. She rolled her eyes. He greets her like this every year!

"Ah, I missed your cool accent."

"I do not have an accent!"

"Do so! It's like a mix between Scottish and Canadian. It's hilarious!" Owen laughed.

"Shut it." But Brynn was laughing to. Owen's like the big brother she never had. "How many N.E.W.T.s did you get?"

"Enough to not be expelled."

"Good enough." He doesn't take studying seriously enough. And he knows that. "Alright, my little lion friend-"

"Hey, who are you calling little? I'm old enough to be your dad."

"Ok, father. Let us go and find our friends."
