Dear Ava,
I know you might hate us for this but please understand us for just this moment.
Ava's eyes widened when she read the following sentences.
'T-This can't be true...'
We are sorry for what we did to you. You were not ready for that and we sincerely apologize.
Ava's eyes quivered a bit as she read the letter that occupied her hands and thoughts.
This was our mistake for not spending enough time with you and for not warning you. And with this we shall carry on the consequences we have caused.
A tear slipped through Ava's eyes as she held back her feelings.
We know that by doing this, it might cause you to hate us even more. But we have caused enough damage to you that we now know that you'll hate us no matter what we choose.
Her mouth quivered as more tears spilled out.
We already have made our decision to do so. This is the only chance to redeem ourselves for being such bad parents to you.
Ava suddenly broke into tears as she slid down onto the floor.
Our love for you is more powerful than the consequences themselves. We'll do anything to keep you happy...even if it means hurting other people.
Ava sobbed into her knees.
By now, you've probably figured out what we mean. You're not called 'En' (short for Encyclopedia) for nothing. I remember when your teacher told us about how you were the top of the class.
She laid her head back so that her head can lean onto the wall, her face blending in with the shadows.
To be honest, I wasn't really surprised when your teacher said that...after all you said you want to be a scientist.
A tear of blood slipped down her face.
I am really sorry for the abrupt news I had brought up. I never really had the will to tell you all of this after what I did to you. But I know that by writing this letter to you, the pressure would be lifted off of my shoulder.
Her sobs became quieter and quieter.
You can hate anyone. You can kill anyone but it doesn't matter anymore.
Ava stopped sobbing all of a sudden as she got up. The room got darker and darker as the chirping of crickets got louder and louder.
I know how you're feeling about this; angry, disappointed. As I'm writing this I could vividly imagine you getting angry since nowadays that's all you've been feeling towards me. I know it. Don't deny this, Ava. It's alright to be disappointed in me after how I've mistreated you.
Her eyes were barely seen now as her silhouette danced across the walls of her house.
You can hate me if you want but I am not going back on my words like I used to. I can not be the person who runs away from their fear anymore.
"Tu es proditor! Proditor!" Ava yelled.
("You're a traitor! Traitor!")
Her yelling echoed in the vacant room.
"I trusted you but you betrayed me."
A crack formed on her right cheek.
"I trusted you... I trusted you..."
Another tear left her eyes as she faced her head down.
Do not blame anyone, Ava...Especially yourself.
Ava clenched her fists.
I don't know if you'll ever read this far but if you do just know...just know...
"Spero vos morietur!" I love you
("I hope you die!")
At that moment Ava fainted as large gray clouds began to form on the already dark sky. Lightning crashed through the busy streets of Finland.
"Auta! Auta!" the people cried out. (Auta!= Help!)
Water rained upon the streets as thunder flashed across the sky. Firefighters came in as police officers from nearby tried to help the injured people.
After Ava suddenly fainted, the phone on the table kept on ringing and ringing until midnight.
During that very night when the lightning crashed, only one person had died. The passengers of the five cars who got hit by lightning survived but were bruised very badly.
""Onko totta, että yksi potilaista kuoli tänään sairaalassa?" A reporter asked as he handed the microphone to the doctor.
("Is it true that one of the patients today died in the hospital?" The reporter asked as he handed the microphone to the doctor.)
"Joo," the doctor replied. (Joo=Yes)
"Does that mean the safety of this hospital is not guaranteed?" The reported asked in English, "I heard that the patient who died here was unsupervised and was left alone. When the doctors came back, he was suddenly dead."
"Sairaalan turvallisuus on taattu," The doctor replied, sweating a little.
("Hospital security is guaranteed," The doctor replied, sweating a little.)
"Voisitteko selittää, kuinka yksi potilaista kuoli täällä, jos turvallisuus on taattu tässä sairaalassa?" The reporter questioned.
("Could you explain how one of the patients died here if security is guaranteed in this hospital?" The Reporter questioned.)
"Joo," the doctor replied, "Kaikella rehellisyydellä on outoa, kuinka tämä mies kuoli, koska emme voineet nähdä mitään terveysongelmia, kun hän palasi sairaalaan viisi päivää sitten. Hänen ruumiinsa tuntui tarpeeksi terveeltä elää yli 70 vuotta minkä vuoksi se oli yllätys, kun hän kuoli."
("Yeah," the doctor replied, "With all honesty, it's strange how this man died because we could not see any health problems when he returned to the hospital five days ago. His body seemed healthy enough to live for more than 70 years which is why it was a surprise when he died.")
The reporter nodded along to his sayings.
" Yritimme soittaa potilaan perheelle, mutta he eivät koskaan kutsuneet meitä takaisin," The doctor continued.
("We tried to call the patient's family, but they never called us back," The doctor continued.)
"When did you tried to call them?" The reporter questioned.
"I think," The doctor looked at the watch he worn that read 12:00 before he continued, "Around 5 hours ago? Somewhere around 7:30-ish."
"Thank you for sharing such information, doc. We hope you'll still be able to continue on being a doctor at this hospital," the reporter politely said as he and the other reporters packed up their stuff.

Don't skip over this conversation in Finnish, please. It is a really important conversation that you must know in order to understand the story but I know some of you will skip it so I'll provided the translate version in bold letters.
Hope this'll clear up any confusion from any of you guys. I also want to tell you guys that the majority of words in this book is either English (of course), Finnish (since Ava used to live in Finland, if you read the summary) and Latin. I don't know if I'll use more languages than this but this is it for now. I also don't know if Finnish people speak English occasionally but in this one they will speak English from time to time so I don't have to keep translating it.
I hope you guys like this chapter.
