Chapter 4

Cameron leaned in to kiss me & I jerked my head back. He knew exactly what he was doing. From what he said & to the kiss, all of it on purpose. I knew better. I knew that he did this to play in my mind. Over, & Over again. He did this just so I could let him leave without another word. I honestly never wanted to give in but it was difficult because of the feelings I was getting.

Was I falling for this asshole who thought he could get away with anything by kissing & playing with a girls mind? It seemed so stupid but it was true. I took a huge sigh & said, "Leave" after the kiss.

What was I even supposed to say?

"Knew you would fall for it." He whispered into my ear obviously proud on what he just did. In my mind I thought about getting him back later. He wouldnt even know what would come. He didn't know what he got his ass into.

I saw him walk away. Not even hesitating to run incase I would be after him.

I got myself ready for skateboarding today. Wearing my casual clothes & getting my red vans on. I put on the usual makeup, mascara & eyeliner. Nothing more & nothing less. Instead of taking my longboard today I grabbed my penny board & skated towards the ramp.

I was skating towards the ramp being only two blocks away with my phone in hands. I got a text saying to hurry up so I tried going faster but I crashed into someone, falling on top of them.

"Im so sorry, are you okay?" I asked standing up quickly. He took a while picking up his phone & grabbing his skateboard.

"Yeah I'm fine, how about you?" He said. He looked familiar, typical "baby Justin Bieber" hair as people called it, which I found stupid.

"Im fine, probably just a scratch on my elbow and knee nothing much." I said trying to figure out who he really was. He finally looked up & I was shocked.

"Alex!" He screamed & hugged me, " I missed you so much."

"Missed you too Dail" I said knowing he would get mad because I called him by his last name.
"Wow just saw you again & you still haven't changed." He smiled, his dimple smile.
"I love you Jack," I said laughing.
"So where were you going."
"The ramps, you want to come? We can catch up on things on the way there." I asked, praying that he would say yes because I hadn't seen him in 2 years.
"Sure" he said.

We started to go towards the ramps, catching up on a few things here and there. I noticed that as we started to get closer Eric, Amber, Maria, & Leslie were about to come after Jack to scare him away, most likely to beat him up. I turned around to see where Jack was at and turned to look at them, they were getting much more closer & I think he got the hint so he went a bit faster and intertwined our fingers together.

I was finally happy, Jack had made me forget the old relationship I was in. He wasn't abusive, he cared.
"Hey Alex," He called me. I turned around and saw where he was sitting and went to sit next to him.
"Can we talk?" Jack said completely serious, a tone I never heard from him the past two years.
"Sure what is it?" I asked.
"I got a job, but it involves me moving and traveling the country for 2 years, the problem is I can't take you with me." Jack said avoiding eye contact.
"Look I know it sounds hard since we've done everything together for the past two years in this relationship, but I promise you ill come back, I'll come back to start where we left everything off from. I won't forget about you okay?" He said holding my hands in his & I nodded.

"Secret"
"Alex" I heard multiple voices trying to get my attention, I noticed that I was sitting on a bench now, Jack & the rest of the "clique" were all standing around me.

"You kept your promise..." I looked up to Jack, trailing off with my words. His response was a nod so I got up to hug him. He wrapped his arms around my waist, as I hid my face on the crook of his neck.
"I wasn't just going to forget about you, you were & still are a great part in my life" He said trying to make me feel better.

We heard a couple of them, probably Eric & Leslie cough. We let go of the hug only to have Jacks hand rest on my back. I noticed Eric's behavior change, & I knew why, we knew each other for the longest probably 9 years.

"We'll settle this later?" Jack whispered into my ear, & I nodded.

"Don't know if you remember Secret but we came here to skateboard." Leslie said.
"Right." I rolled my eyes. They went off practicing their tricks on the ramp.
"Come on Jack,"
"I'll be there in a second." He said smiling in response.

I went off to catch up with the rest & saw Amber trying to flirt with Jack, she was probably going to ask him if they could kick it later, which was like friends with benefits without the sex, more like everything a couple does just without catching feelings for each other.

"Yoo' Secret." Eric called me & I noticed he was looking behind the trees, to a person.
"Isn't that the guy that was trying to break in yesterday night?" Maria added.
I squinted to get a better view & it was. It was Cameron with 2 other guys pointing at Jack & making their way too him.

"His name's Cameron that stupid viner that hit rock bottom." I said speaking fast.
"He's going faster after Jack, lets go." Eric said as he skated towards him.

I walked a bit closer to Cameron blocking his way of getting any closer to Jack.

"If it isn't my side bitch." Cameron said lifting my chin up to try and kiss me again but I jerked my head back.
"Don't touch her." Jack said.
"Aww, is that your boyfriend? Maybe you should tell him what happened last night between us." Cameron said testing my patience.
"Nothing happened between us, sorry to break it to you, but my standards aren't that low." I said & he looked a bit taken aback.
"So that kiss meant nothing to you?" Cameron said, trying to get closer to me but Jack went in to swing at him.

Basically Cameron started the fight by talking shit. But Jack technically did because he punched him first.

After about two minutes Cameron & Jack had already had the same injuries, nose bleeding & blood dripping from their mouth.

"Stop!" We screamed. But they didn't budge. Eric & I went in. I held Jack back, I never saw him fight, he wasn't one of those people to start with that.

I saw Eric push Cameron so I turned around to see him trying to clean the blood from his nose.

"You have no idea what you got your ass into." I said, but he never responded they just left.

"Let's all go home, I'll call you guys to see what's going on?" I asked them, & they nodded.

"Come on Jack, lets get you cleaned up." I said walking towards my house.

That Cameron guy had already crossed the line, & I wasn't going to let him do it again.
