I was walking around the field, dancing with the head cheerleader. As we danced, I was constantly scanning the crowd for her. I had to know her name. Just then, I look up and see her walking onto the field. My hopes lessen when I see she's being walked by someone. After a few minutes, I break away from the crowd. I walk to the bleachers, and carefully walk up to her.

She stood out in the crowd with her grey hair curled neatly down her back, and her mask covering the right half of her face. The dress was a deep navy blue. The guy with her had a suit of the same kind. I almost stopped short seeing him with his arm around her shoulders. I walked up and smiled. "Hello. I'm Jayson. You must be new, right?" The guy nods. "Yup just moved in a few blocks from here." She nods, and gives a small smile. "I'm Nick. This is my sister, Lilly." The guy, Nick, hold out his hand. I shake it, holding it with a firm grip. I smile at the girl, Lilly. She give a shy smile and looks down at the gloves on her hands.

I take a shaky breath. "So, do both of you go to school here?" I stumble over my words, trying to make conversation. "Both of us until the spring, when I graduate." He smiles. She glares at him "I'm not far behind you, Nick. 10 months does not mean you win at everything." I smile. "Y'all are that close in age?" Nick nods "She graduates next spring." She grins. Perks of being in advanced placement." I look at her, confused. "What to you mean, advanced placement?" "I was placed a grade above what I'm supposed to be for my age. I'm 16, and taking Senior classes. I don't graduate until next spring because my parents want me to graduate with my class, not with Nick." Nick smirks "Rightfully so. This is going to be my day. No pesky baby sister to mess it up."
