Nerf guns. A lot of them.

The walls were covered with them. The shelves were overflowing with boxes and boxes of ammo and accessories. It was my favorite room of all and when me and the boys had nothing to do we'd have Nerf wars and it was the best.

You could say I'm the best shot in the band, Zayn coming in a close second. The worst was Liam. He couldn't point a gun at anything and pull the trigger for his life. He has no aim.

Addy's face was like a child on Christmas morning found out they were going to Disneyland.

She stepped slowly, taking in everything. Her arms raised and lightly touched one of the guns closest to the door. She looked back and forth at each wall, choosing the N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 Blaster. Nice.

I grabbed a smaller one, only a three dart holder, but with a laser and a powerful spring that can give you a bruise. Believe me, you don't wanna get hit with this one.

After we got our weapon of choice, we headed towards the shelves of ammo. We grabbed handfuls of darts and shoving them wear we could. Our jacket pockets, pants pockets, front and back, everywhere. I handed her a wrap around that goes across your chest that you can store more ammo. We filled those up and exited the closet of fun.

She was squeezing just standing there holding her gun. To say addy didn't look completely insane right then would kinda be an understatement. But it was adorable. Alluring even.

We made out way to the door.

"Wait," Addy whispered. "What about them? They don't have any guns or ammo." I shook my head lightly. "There's another room like this one on the other side of the house. We made two so when we had wars both sides would have a chance."

She nodded and placed her ear against the door, hearing for anyone outside the door looking to shoot us out early and end the game before it even started.

She shook her head. Nothing.

I reached for the handle and twisted it, leaving Addy in front of the empty hallway. She rested her back on the door frame, looking over her shoulder down the also empty hallway. She nodded her head for me to lead.

I trekked down the hall with light steps, not making any noise.

I saw the threshold to the kitchen, and I looked back at her, and she nodded. She understood what I was planning without talking to me. We put out backs to the wall, and waited a couple seconds until we were ready.

I jumped in front of the doorway, and was met with an onslaught. I felt three little pinches on my torso. I looked down and was met with three Velcro darts stuck to my shirt. I've been shot.

I fall dramatically to the floor, playing out my "death".

Addy gasped and kneeled down the "tend" to my "wounds".

I looked her straight in the eyes, a pained expression on my face.

"How do I look Doc? Am I gonna make it?"

The girl now had tears running down her face. Wow, she really took this whole thing seriously.

She opened her brimming eyes, and something felt wrong. I sat up and really looked at her. Her entirety was shaking, she looked almost freezing. She gasped and a tight sob racked her body. She wrapped her arms around herself, seemingly holding herself together. The sounds she made were absolutely heart-wrenching.

I took the girl in my arms and placed her on my lap, rocking her gently back and forth. She needed to calm down, but I didn't know how how to help.

Surprising me, Harry jumped from the hallway and pointed his gun at us, ready to shoot. But he saw the position we were in and gave me a utterly confused look. I have a feeling the same one was on my face.

Mascara was running down her face, at least from what I could see of her. She had buried her head in my chest, her salty tears probably staining my shirt. But that didn't matter right now.

I didn't know what to do. This wasn't acting anymore. She was crying like mad over something I was yet to find out about.

So we stayed that way, Harry still standing armed, me with Addy in my arms, comforting her.
