Three more minutes. Charlie thought. He was in science and was bored to death.
Ring ring ring. The day was over. He packed up his stuff and ran into the sea of students. He didn't want to be late to see his mum, after all. Charlie had time, so he started to ask one of his teachers about the homework. When he was done he started to head out of the east wing when he thought he heard a nerd being bullied.

I was walking out of class when I saw Max coming towards me. Oh no! Please not today. I thought. I sprinted to the east wing. My big mistake. Max was there with his group. "So Evangeline, what should we do today?" Max started. I said nothing, it only makes it worse. "I don't think she heard me."
"I think you should leave," is all I could say.
"Why should we?" some one said. I knew what was coming.
"Maybe we should try to talk to her," Max whispered in my ear. I wanted to hurt him, but it would only make the situation worse. "There's a ball coming up this month. Will you go with me?" Max was centimeters away from me. I was disgusted. I was silent before spiting in his face. His group howled and laughed. He stepped back, wiping it off his cheek. "So that's how it is? Well then, I'll persuade you." He moved even closer to me. I shivered with uncomfortableness and kept my eyes shut. He pressed his lips below my ear, my cheek, then...
"Oi!" a familiar voice shouted. "Get away from her!" By my luck it was Charlie. When Max turned to see who it was, I punched him square in the nose. Carlie ran to me and grabbed my hand.
"Run," he whispered. We ran from the East wing to dorm room 193. Charlie shut the door behind us.

"Who was that?" he said panting.
"Max Corr," E replied. Charlie got up and started to pace around the room.
"Why did he almost..." his voice trailed off.
"Longtime bullier," she replied. Charlie nodded.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," E replied.
"What about your leg?" Before E could say no, Charlie lifted up her skirt, showing a red gash. E swallowed.
"My uncle came home drunk," she told him.
"Trouble follows you everywhere," Charlie stated.
"It's what I am," she said. They were quiet for a few moments.
"My parents are going out to dinner, would you like to come?" Charlie asked.
"I don't want to barge in," E replied.
"You won't be. My mother asked me to bring a friend."
"I don't think a girl you saved twice a friend," she countered.
"It'll be fun," Charlie pleaded.
"What will your brother think? You bringing the outcast from school?
"Who cares what he thinks?"
"Everyone in the school. He's head boy, the Golden child," E said.
"Fine, you don't have to come, but let me take you to the nurses and get you your own room," Charlie stated.
"I don't need my own room, I'm perfectly fine living at the station," she snapped.
"No, you're not," Charlie said as he grabbed her wrist and stood her up.
"What are you doing?" she asked. Charlie opened the door.
"Taking you to the office to get you a room," he pulled her to the hallway and made his way to the office.
"I don't need my own room I can take care of myself!" E tried to pull away, but Charlie was stronger.
"Why are you scared?" Charlie asked. E looked him in the eye.
"Because I don't know what they'll do to me," E replied.
"Who?" he said confused.
"Clairey and Max. I'm afraid Charlie. If you haven't noticed, I'm not really normal to everyone." The words stabbed Charlie.
"You know what? Fine. But please, let me take you to the nurse," he said.
"Okay," E replied. E and Charlie wobbled down the corridor to the office.
