“That’s probably them.” I saw, walking over to the door. I unlock it and pull it open. Of course, it’s Nick and Brandon.
“It’s about damn time!” Melissa shouted, as she walked towards the doorway where they stood, and hugged both of them.
“It’s 11:00 you guys. We should get going.” I say as I fix the strap on my heels.”
“Yeah, we should.” Brandon says.
“Alright. I’ll drive.” Says, with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
“Maddi, can I talk to you for a sec?” Brandon asks. I can see him slowly beginning to blush. I can feel myself beginning to blush as well.
“Sure. Lissa, we’ll just meet you and Brandon in the car.”
Nick and I walk into the house, as I shut the door behind me.
“What’s up?” I ask, looking into his eyes.
“I’ve just really missed you.” He says looking down at my hands, grabbing them and rubbing his thumbs on the area where my thumb and pointer finger meet.
“Awh. I’ve missed you t-” Just before I can finish my sentence, I find his lips on mine, as I begin to shut my eyes. Nick wraps his arms around my waist, slowly bringing his hand up higher, which causes me to arch my back a little bit. I wrap my arms around his neck, and I can feel him smile as he’s kissing me. I start to giggle,as he starts to kiss me from my cheek, down to my neck, and then to my shoulder. I laugh because of the tickling sensation, and cup his cheek with my hand and lift his face away from my shoulder to face me.
“Hey, don’t forget that we have a reunion to go to.” I said smiling and giggling at the same time.
“Sorry, seeing you in that dress just makes me wanna kiss you and-”
“Okay, Mr. Pierce. That’s enough kissing for now..” I say laughing.
“Aww. Okay.” He says pouting, pretending to sound like an upset toddler who didn’t get to buy a toy he saw at the store. I open the door and we walk out to Melissa’s car. Melissa’s in the driver’s seat, and I ride shotgun, as Nick and Brandon sit in the back. We arrive at the surprisingly large party tent, with colorful streamers cursive writing on it saying, “Lexington Family Reunion”
at exactly 12:15.
“Wow… They really went all out with the huge tent and all..”
“Woah…” Nick and Brandon say simultaneously.
“Yep… I bet you everyone’s already in there.” I say, feeling slightly embarrassed.
“Well then what the hell are we waiting for? Let’s go inside!”
“Someone’s excited,” Brandon says smiling at Melissa.
Melissa and I walk in first, followed by Nick and Brandon.
“LOOK! IT’S MELISSA AND MADDI!” Melissa and I both turn our heads to where the voice came from as soon as we heard it.
“Oh hell no.” I say nudging Melissa’s arm.
“Who the hell let him in here..” She muttered to me. It was our annoying ass cousin, Angelica.
“Barbie doll mode, activated.” I say as Melissa nods, alerting me that Angelica was walking towards us.
“OH-EM-GEE!!! I’ve missed you guys so much!” Angelica says in her annoying little chipmunk voice.
“Angelica! It’s so great to see you! You’re so pretty now!” I say in my sweetest voice possible, making it seem like I actually like her.
“Oh my gosh, I love your hair and your make-up!” Melissa says. I try my hardest not to laugh.
“You guys can sit with me and the rest of our cousins!” Angelica says. Melissa rolls her eyes, but makes sure that Angelica doesn’t see, as we walk the 5 of us walk over to the table.
