The next morning, Melissa and I head over to Eastridge mall just for the hell of it. Lissa rides shotgun this time, and little did I know, I was in for quite a surprise.
We arrive at Eastridge, and Melissa and I circled almost the whole mall, until we saw Angelica.
“The hell?!” I exclaim. “What in the world is that no titty iron assed freak doing here?!” I exclaim angrily.
“Hold up. I thought she lived in Toronto!” Melissa said, sounding very irritated.
“She does! I thought she went home yesterday!”
“Oh god. She’s coming over here.”
Melissa and I hated Angelica. She did so many bad things to us when we were little. Most of the time, we got grounded because of her. She’d act so innocent, and blame it on us. I hated it.
“Here she comes..” I mutter to Lissa.
“Ahhh! Oh em gee! What are you guys doing here? I missed you guys so much!” Angelica’s squeaky little voice annoyed the crap out of me. It made me want to rip her hair out and shove it down her throat. Melissa did the talking this time, since I was the one who had to put up with her at the reunion. I examining her outfit, when I came across something in particular. Her necklace… I glanced at my charm bracelet that Nick gave me yesterday, and noticed that one of the charms was the exact same one that Angelica was wearing on her necklace.
“What the…” I said.
“What?” Angelica asked, looking concerned.
“Oh, it’s nothing. I- Uhm, that guy’s outfit is so weird.” I tried my best to hold my anger in, and keep it on the down low.
“Well alrighty guys! I have to get going! I’ve got a movie to go to with a friend later! Toodles!”
“Angelica! Wait.” I blurted out. Oh shit. I wasn’t thinking. Why the hell would I say that!?
“Yeah?”
“What theater are you going to?” I asked, trying not to seem so concerned about it.
“Oh, I’m going to the Regal Theaters. Why?” I glanced at Melissa. Her facial expression said it all. She was probably thinking, “What in the name of God and all that is holy are you doing!?”
“Oh.” I said. “Nevermind, I was wondering if you were going to the one in Glendale.”
“Oh alright. See ya guys later!” She said, skipping away towards the exit.
“...”
“...”
“What the hell was that all about?!” Melissa seemed infuriated. I couldn’t seem to understand why. I tried to hold back the thought of Nick secretly talking to Angelica, but I just couldn’t. So I told Melissa.
“You know the charm bracelet Nick gave me last night…?”
“Yeah, what about it?” She didn’t seem so concerned about it.
“One of the charms on that bracelet is the same exact one that Angelica has on her necklace…” I responded. My eyes began to water.
“Wait… What? Is he… cheating…?”
“I-I don’t know.” I couldn’t breathe. I felt like I was about to throw up.
“Mads.. Are you sure? Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Which charm was it?”
I looked at my bracelet. “T-this one.” I pointed to the charm with a heart and a small treble clef on the side of it.
“Okay. You know what?” Melissa sounded really mad now. Uh oh. “We’re gonna go to Regal Theaters, and we’re gonna see who she’s with. Maybe it’s just a coincidence okay Maddi? It’s alright.. Okay?”
“Okay.” I said.
