"So what exactly are your," he pauses, and lets out a chuckle,"Beneficial proficiencies?"

"I am willing to do, whatever pays best as I'm pretty pressed for money. Surely a 'businessman' such as yourself would understand that." Gerin explains to Slim, an idea conceives in Slim's head.

"Then, I have a job that would be absolutely perfect for you," Slimmy says while he sits back on his couch.

"So! Mr. Gerin, as of now one of my boys are currently in a bit of a pickle RICK...you see...he is being prosecuted for something he 'didn't do'. I need you, Mr. Gerin, to threaten the witness, and take out the prosecution" Slimmy explains, deadeye serious. "Slimmy..." Gerin starts "What you are asking me to do is murder. Doing this will make me a wanted criminal." Gerin retorts, looking Slimmy straight into the eyes. "Mr. Gerin, this is gotham city. Law here, doesn't exist. The police? Corrupt. MIlitary Reserve? Ran by the Mayor, who is controlled by the mob. The colonel in the reserve, Cecil Vectori? Yeah, he is supplying the Maroni family with Military Grade Handguns and Assault Rifles. If you think there is one shred of dignity, and innocence in this city, you are wrong. Mr. Gerin, so this is up to you. Are you in? Or are you not. Choose, very, very, carefully."

Gerin swallows the spit buildup in his mouth, he considers his options and speaks

"How much is the pay?"

A smile crosses Slimmy's mouth revealing the golden grills. "Fifty-Thousand Dollars, Cash". As Slimmy says this, Gerin's eyes widen, he couldn't believe it. This is enough money to rent an apartment, get a car, and overall start a new life in gotham. Through crime, Gerin literally can go from Rags to Riches. "I'm in" says Gerin.

"Good! Good! The Lawyer is in the Gotham Taproom, and the Witness is down the street. In the La Croix Hotel in room 309." Slimmy exclaims. "Now, take my car. There is a baseball bat in the trunk, be sure to only scare the witness. Don't touch him. As for the Lawyer, take this." Slimmy reaches into his coat and out comes a Handgun of a sort. Gerin takes it, and checks it out before hopping into the car. He is was in a Golden El Camino, with Lowrider suspension and top grade speakers. Surfing through the radio channels, he remains indecisive, ultimately, he plugs in his AUX cord and begins to blare "Today Was a Good Day" by Ice Cube.

Cruisin' down the East End, he turns the corner to Maple St. and stares in dismay as the amounts of neon and livelihood of the Diamond district hit his face from across the bridge. He couldn't believe it, however he couldn't help but notice as he crossed there was a military checkpoint on the bridge. Leaving Gerin no choice, but to pull up to it. He sweats as he approaches the Military Police officer with an Assault rifle in his arms.

"Evening, officer!" Gerin says, putting on a fake smile and face for the officer. "Good evening, are you carrying anything unusual on you today?" The Officer asks with a stern look on his face. "Of course not officer, I would do nothing of a sort? I am just off to pick up my wife from the hotel" Gerin lies. "Ah, alright then, be on your way." The officer retorts. Sighing in relief, Gerin continues to drive down the seemingly never ending street. He spots the Red Neon sign, reading the words "The La Croix Hotel". Upon arriving at the hotel, Gerin retrieves the baseball bat from the trunk, and groans in disbelief as in what he is about to do.

"Sir! You can't be in her-" The Room Manager exclaims before his glass desk is shattered by the bat. Gerin remains emotionless as he smashes his way through the lobby, and takes his ride up the elevator to the 3rd floor. Upon doing so, he arrives at the room 309.

Slowly, he opens the door. "Hello." Gerin says to the man sitting in his chair sipping a hot cup of tea. "Wha-!" He nearly spits it out as he jumps out of his chair, spilling tea all over himself. "Who- Who are you!?" He exclaims, obviously terrified of Gerin, brandishing his bat. "I am many things, son. I can be your friend, or..." Gerin smashes the bat into the table, shattering it completely "I can be your worst enemy, now you have a choice. You have a choice, you can either forget what you think you saw. Or, you can feel the wood against your forehead. Either way is good for me, but for your sake. I suggest you choose the first option." The man is terrified, he can barely speak to gerin, but is able to make out a stutter. "O-o-okay I won't d-d-d-d-do anything! I swear! Please don't hurt me!" He cries out. Gerin hadn't even touched the man, and he already seems to be soaked from the waist down. "I am glad, we agree on such terms". Gerin winks at the man as he leaves the room. When Gerin makes it into his car, he screams in excitement as the adrenaline rush is almost unreal. He takes off to the Gotham taproom, which is directly across the street. As he walks in, however, the bouncer stops him. "Oi! Lad!" Gerin Looks up at him, he continues to speak. "You with the families? Lad?" he looks at Gerin with a face of Skepticism and distrust. "No, just here for a quick drink" Gerin says to the Bouncer with a smile, still pumped from the hotel. "Okay...". As the bouncer opens the door, Gerin is greeted by a bunch of men in suits, and jazz music. Followed by the sounds of laughter by men playing a game of pool. Gerin then begins to sweat, he is nervous. He is about to kill a man with a room full of possibly armed witnesses. He then spots the man, he is laughing by some man he seems to be chatting to. The man is awfully annoyed by the target. Gerin doesn't waste anytime, he reaches into his coat. As he touches the handle of the handgun his stomach wrenches. He pulls it out, takes an aim and pulls the trigger.

Moments later tears are flowing down Gerins face as he speed through the Neon Lights and Modern beauty of the Diamond District. He had just killed a man for doing his job. However, As time progressed gerin felt less and less guilty. It was just business, he did what he had to do. Gerin came to a realization as he approached the small bridge that he would have to pass through the military checkpoint. Surely, the police would have arrived at the bar by then. Gerin had no choice but to progress on through. Gerin knew the MPs would be after him, so this is the very reason Gerin had decided he was going to smash through the checkpoint by force. He backs up into the alley, and puts his car in gear. He then revs the engine and takes off full force going 80mph. He can see the eyes of the officer widen as Gerin speeds through, completely smashing through the board by the checkpoint box. The officer doesn't even have a chance to respond, Gerin is gone and out of sight. As he pulls up to Slimmy's hood. He can hear "Tequila Sunrise" by Cypress Hill being blared at the maximum volume on his speaker system. However, this time around he notices someone else. He steps out of Slimmy's El Camino and stands there awkwardly, completely silent.

"So?" Slimmy asks "Is it done?" Gerin looks away for a moment at the other man to catch a glance. He was wearing shredded jeans and a flannel with only the top button buttoned. He had a bandana with a certain part covering his eye. As well as wavy dark brown hair and a scar on his face. His attention quickly turns back to Slimmy. "Yeah, it's done" Gerin responds, thinking about what had went down. "My man! My man!" Slimmy exclaims. "Heyo Brotha, here's yo pay". Slimmy Says, handing Gerin a briefcase. As Gerin opens it, he stares in dismay there are stacks of $100 bills as thick as a fat man's arm. He speedily shuts the briefcase, then thanks slimmy for his work. Gerin is able to pickup a part of their conversation, something about Eastside Snakes, and the Crown Point Huzlers. Walking home; Gerin walks past the smashed, now abandoned checkpoint with a seemingly emotionless expression as he makes his way throughout the neon carnage to the La Raveno hotel. It takes him a good 15 minutes to walk there, upon arrival. He opens the ivory/glass doors and approaches the elevator, followed by the pressing of a button. He walks into the elevator. The seemingly forever wait is now over as Gerin approaches the door to his room. He can barely contain himself as he walks into the hotel room with his newlywed wife. She doesn't notice him as he sneaks up behind her, and slowly wraps his warm arms around her. "Welcome home babe.." Heather says to Gerin as he lies down in the bed next to her. "Heather, I am so happy to be home" he say with a soft, loving voice. "It's almost surreal, so much had happened in just the day i've been here". Heather looks at him with a face of doubt "Nothing that important could have happened.." She tells him. Gerin begins to chuckle as he gets up to retrieve the briefcase he left at the doorstep. He lays it down on the bed, and unlocks it. Notioning Heather to open it. Her eyes grow to the size of the sun as she lifts the top of the case, revealing the stacks of $100 Bills. She begins to cry, not of a sad cry, but a happy one. "It's okay, we have enough so we can start again. You don't have to worry about it any longer. We can start again, I am going to rejoin the service, and make a name for us both on the side. I love you, Heather." Gerin finishes, Heather responds with.."I love you to, Gerin".
