"Well, well, well" Brian drawled as I walked sleepily into the kitchen next morning. "Would you look what the cat dragged in."
"Would you look what it coughed up." I retorted.
"Someone's in a good mood." Val laughed as she walked into the kitchen behind me.
"Oh thank God you're awake." I said turning around and grabbing her arm. "Let's go."
"Go where?" she asked with a confused expression on her face.
"Home, now move it." I said as I pulled her out the kitchen doorway into the hall.
"Wait Em, don't you want to eat something?" She asked.
"I'm not hungry, now come on, walk and talk." I said impatiently, pulling her down the halls towards the front door.
"Going so soon?" Brian asked, leaning against the kitchen doorframe with an amused expression on his face. "I thought we were gonna hang out today and be pals."
"Unless you want your fiancé's band to be minus one guitarist, you'll get me out of this house right now Val."
"I'd like to see you try." Brian laughed.
"Don't tempt her Brian." Val warned.
"Is she always this bitchy every morning?" Ha asked Val as she slipped her shoes.
"Only if she hasn't slept well." Val said, carrying on the conversation even though I was still in the room.
"Well then it's your fault she's like this." He said, pointing a finger to her.
"And why is that?" She asked.
"Because you and that nymphomaniac fiancé of yours kept us all last night."
"Oh." she said. "Sorry."
"Val now." I said through gritted teeth.
"Bye Vall." Brian laughed as I pulled her out the front door. "Later princess."
"Asshole." I called back in response.

"Oh Emily." Vall called in a sing song voice as she strolled into my room and plopped herself on my bed.
"What?" I asked, not looking up as I was reading a book.
"Guess what?" She asked.
"I despised your guessing games." I said, still not looking at her.
"Oh give me that." Val said, snatching mthe book from my hands and tossing it to the side.
"Hey!" I said angrily. "I was reading that."
"You've read it before." She said rolling her eyes. "Now come on guess what I got."
"Brian's dead body in a bag someplace?" I hopefully asked.
"Very funny." She said rolling her eyes. "No, but look."
I looked down at what she was holding out in her hands to see two tickets.
"What are those for?" I asked.
"Uh, duh!"
She held them out closer to me so I could read them.

"And?" I asked.
"You're coming with me!" She exclaimed happily, holding out one of the tickets to me
