Sorry it took so long

Valentines day. The worst day of the year if you ask me. All those happy couples going off together. I'm not salty at all. Let them go get crushed by one another, it's just I hate the thought of being used. Like an item. And that's what love basically is.

So anyway, to get away from my friends I said I had a date-i obviously didn't. But now I have to walk to Starbucks. And stay there for a while. And make up a false story as to why I'm never going out with him again.

I turn the street corner, I am quite a way from it. I'm only at the park and it's all the way in town. It's a good 10 minuets away now. I look up from my phone, and see gray clouds above me. Great. Rain. I pull my hoodie closer to my skin as I hurry through the bitter cold.

I walk into the Starbucks and see I can't escape. There were couples everywhere. Making out in the corner, cutesy Bleh Bleh Bleh. 

I was soaked so I bought a warming coffee, said fuck it, and started to walk home. The coffee being my only sense of warmth. Then, all too soon, it was taken from me. I bumped into a very tall man "Oh, s-sorry" I stutter out, apologising "Nono. It's fine, my fault. Hey are you okay?" I nodded "Would you like me to buy you a new coffee?" "No, it's fine. Really." But he kept insisting to. So I gave in, and we walked to a new coffee shop. We sat down and ordered drinks, whole getting to know each other.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a valentines day.
