How many times a day do you think "whoa, I really am a lucky one!" ? How many times do you stop and try to see this world as beautiful as it truly is? I'll answer for you: not enough.
You see, we prefer to say that our position is worse than other's. We like to paint with black paint over white walls. We like to darken our visions about anything that surrounds us because it makes us feel better about ourselves. We prefer to throw the blame instead of making a change.
We live in a society where we are never alone, but we're still lonely. Where we walk on the street with fake smiles plastered on our faces. Where we love the sunsets not for their colors, but for their meanings.
As I am writing this I can see the stars out of my window, and trust me when I say this, sometimes I feel like they are the only genuine things left.
Our feet are touching this earth everyday, but we're complaining about not reaching the stars.
Our eyes are converting beauty into eternal memories every single moment, but we are complaining about our blindness during the night.
Our feelings remind us that we're humans everyday but we don't care about it because we're too busy focussing on how hurt we are.
We are small pieces of eternity trapped into small bodies of earth who are hoping that one day we'll have the chance to fly into a glimpse of universe. We want to have it all. Tryin' to reach the impossible while forgetting hiw blessed we actually are, and this is why we are never pleased: we want more.
Today I'm asking one more thing: take your time to see a sunset. I don't promise you'll be a new man, but you'll see this amazing world different, and for now it's all that matters.
