Chapter 1: So, You Want The School Demolished, Mrs. Principal?

JENN HASTINGS had always been a good girl. She follows her mother's advice, never sneaks out of the house without permission and is a proud straight A student. So, here she was, wondering how the hell she had gotten herself into this mess in the first place.

Maybe when she just turned thirteen, she should have invited that bratty cousin of hers to her birthday, even at the chance of her ruining Jenn's birthday party. Or maybe, it was when she accidentally encircled the wrong answer on her Friday pop quiz back when she was in elementary. Whatever the incident was that started this whole mess, Jenn is quite sure that she simply did not deserved to be punished this way.

It was the start of the second semester in Madison High, but for Jenn, it might have very well been the end of the world. She stared at the girl sitting a little ways in front of her, willing her to burn and shrivel up. Right now, she was desperately wishing for that undiscovered witch power of hers, though a shovel to beat the girl up would also be quite useful.

The arrangement had come down from the principal. Apparently, Mrs. Agatha James wants the whole building to demolish. That must be the only reason she put Leslie Mase and Jenn Hastings in the same class. Heck, everybody knows they invented the word 'rivalry''.

Leslie and Jenn are polar opposites. Leslie is more of a fashionable and rich type of girl. She get what she wants, whether it be boys or money. She is the typical Queen Bee of the school. Meanwhile, Jenn can be also be called popular, yet it was more because of her skills in numerous sports. She also maintains her good grades, a fact that Leslie seems to envy.

They grew up together, though it's safe to say that they are far from friends. It started from simple squabbles and the occasional tantrums, but the remaining civil relationship between them was ruined when Jenn accidentally spilled her juice on Leslie's brand new designer skirt, right in front of Leslie's long-time crush. Talk about embarrassing.

From then on, Leslie took it upon herself to ruin Jenn's life, even going as far as to steal away her prospective boyfriends. But Jenn had never really found a reason to retaliate, so it all turned out as some kind of game. Whoever messes up her calm and indifferent attitude, wins.

Jenn took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. It didn't exactly help her when she found out that Leslie's entire posse would be her classmates for the entire semester. To top it all off, her best friend, Debbie, is in a different class, so she had absolutely no one to talk to.

She stood up, gathered her things and prepared to leave the room that will serve as her temporary hell on earth. She glanced at the girl she was just staring at for a few minutes and had to suppress a sigh when on the few seconds Jenn was distracted, Leslie had already been flirting with one of the school jocks.

Must be her slut genes.

She was about to bolt out when the she-devil herself turned her head, her gaze staring right at a frozen Jenn. As if in slow motion, her pout turned into a full-blown smirk. Leslie straightened and walked leisurely towards Jenn, taking her own sweet time.

Jenn fought back a shudder. Hadn't she seen this kind of scene on some movie before? The same one where the psycho cheerleader massacred everyone in the school, starting with the cute nerd?
