So comment, follow, and vote, my lovelies! 😍Rose's pov: (in case you didn't already know!)
Andy got home shortly after our emotional moment, and luckily, Blake and Josh spared us the embarrassment of telling someone our secrets and told Andy for us. He was pretty upset that we didn't tell him, but he got over it and forgave us.
My brothers were very accepting and loving towards Porter's coming out. I'm glad Porter doesn't feel ashamed of himself now that he's told us. He even said he would start telling other people as well.
And me.
I feel so much more open and carefree now that my brothers knew. I don't have to lie anymore, and I don't have to hide anymore. So, now that you're all caught up, today is the day of the dinner with Cris and Jamison. Hopefully, my brothers will behave themselves, but I highly doubt that. Maybe they won't act like savage beasts when they see food. But probably not.
After I had explained everything, even the thing that happened last year to Tam, Alice, and Jackson, I invited Jackson to dinner cause he's my best friend.
After school, I went to the store. I'm going to make baked chicken with roasted potatoes, and a chocolate devil's food cake with fudge frosting. Jackson came with me, and walking down the cake mix aisle, one of our favorite songs came on. We barely glanced at each other before we broke out dancing in the empty aisle. I knew how stupid we looked, but I hadn't felt this good in such a long time, I was wiggling my hips with Jackson when I heard someone laughing.
Both of us stopping short, we looked to see who was snickering.
Unluckily, it was Jamison, who was looking very amused. I decided to face this head on, after all, he was gonna be my dinner guest this evening.
"Did you enjoy our dancing?" I ask to Jamison. He stops laughing. He just stands there looking stunned for a second, like he wasn't used to his victims talking back. Then, he spread and easy smirk on his smug face and told me,
"Yeah. I totally enjoyed watching you and your little boyfriend dirty dancing together in the supermarket." He tells me sarcastically. I am at a loss for words when Jackson speaks up. "I am not little!"
Real mature, Jackson, real mature. I think to myself.
"So, I hope you're not ditching tonight, because if you do, Porter and I will hunt you down, and force feed you our amazing food," I tell Jamison saucily.
"Oh yeah, what're you and your little gay boy gonna do about it?" He says.
"Oh hell, no!" Jackson says, after hearing Jamison calling out my brother.
That's it. He went too far. I step close to him, shoving him against one of the shelves, saying, "if you so much as mention my brother, in that way again, I will not hesitate to kill you, Jamison," I spit on his shoes and stride out of the store, leaving Jackson to buy the food.
I'm sitting on the curb outside of the grocery store, not mad, but thinking. Why did I let that jerkwad bother me?
I hear the door of the grocery store open, and Jackson walks out, bags of food in hand. We get in his car, and drive home in silence. Mainly, I'm not talking because I'm in the middle of an internal monologue, and I think Jackson knows this, so he's keeping quiet.Jamison's pov:
She shoves me a little and basically runs away, anger steaming off her like smoke around a burning house. Her best friend just stands there, gripping the cart tightly. Suddenly, he races up to me, gripping my collar as he shoves me against a shelf like Rose did. His eyes are so very angry, and he's basically putting all his weight on me. "You leave Rose's family alone, you hear me? And you better respect her buddy, cause I?" He laughs bitterly before continuing, "I can make your life hell." And with that flicker of raw anger, that was gone as fast as it came, his features became blank, void from the anger, and he walked away, to the cash register. I want to speak, but he, just, freaked me out. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I, Jamison Daniels, was actually intimidated by somebody. However, my shock comes to an end as I decide to get back at her during dinner tonight. Too can play at that game. You have no idea what you're in for sister. *cue evil laughter*
Rose's pov:
We head into my house, and Jackson helps me unload the groceries. Porter heads in the kitchen, already putting on an apron. Oh, how I love my twin. I'm about to shove Jackson out of the kitchen when I notice some very awkward silence between my two boys. Porter is staring at his feet like he's never seen them before in his life, and Jackson is blushing at Porter, looking surprisingly vulnerable. Umm.... I clear my throats and say, "I don't know what all this is about," I say, gesturing towards the boys, "but I need you, Jackson, to leave, and you, Porter, to start mixing up the cake batter." After a very long silence, I say, "chop, chop!" And finally, they return to normal, Jackson awkwardly racing out of the room to play video games with my brothers, and Porter hurriedly gathering up ingredients. I give Porter a suspicious look till he asks, "what?" And I reply, "nothing. Nothing at all," all the while scrutinizing him under my prying eyes. Finally, I begin to cook, both of us being lulled into the lullaby of glorious cooking. Soon, it's almost time, and I go up to my room to freshen up, yelling at my brothers, "please at least wear a shirt without stains, and put some pants on, no one wants to see all that!" They laugh, but do what I tell them. I go downstairs and find Jackson, wearing surprise! A stained shirt. Oh well, at least he's wearing pants. I sigh, and tell him it's good enough. He chuckles. Suddenly, the doorbell rings, and world war three breaks out, all of my idiot brothers trying to answer the door before I do. Let's just say that I shove, tackle, and basically fight dirty more than two of my brothers to get to the door before them. I fling the door open, out of breath from the escapade with my brothers. They all race up beside me, giving Cris a once over. Then they see Jamison. All of them know who Jamison is, and they obviously think Jamison is the friend I invited over.
"What are you doing here?"
"Hey, what's this scum doing at our front door?
"Ain't no way that you're my baby sisters friend!"
"Damn, Rose, did you have to fall for the bad boy?"
"Cris?"
"First of all, Cris, is who I invited, not this idiot. I just had to cause they're brothers," Jamison interrupts me, saying, "You want me so bad," after he says that, Cris slaps him on the back of the head. I continue on. "Andy, how do you know Cris?" I look up to see my brother staring, a shocked expression marring his features. Andy clears his threat, and then he walks away, not angry, but hurt? He walks upstairs and into his room. Cris is staring at the stairs where Andy ascended.
"Well, this is a bit awkward, um, come in, sit down. Blake, can you get Andy to come down?" I say it like a question, but Blake knows I will kill Andy if he doesn't come down, so he just nods and heads upstairs. I give Cris a quick hug, with Jamison holding his arms out, saying, "what about me?" Oldest trick in the book. I snort and walk into the kitchen, when Jackson comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around me. I giggle, and push his arms off. "Hey, thanks for being here, tonight, you know I would die if I didn't have you around to keep me from killing my brothers." He just smiles and kisses me on the cheek.
I love that boy, I think. I stride into the living room, where I find my remaining brothers sitting awkwardly on the opposite couch of Cris and Jamison. I sit next to Cris, and he smiles, his dimples poking a hole in his cute cheeks. "So, how's life?" I ask, shooting a glare that could kill towards Jamison. He smiles at me with a fake innocent face, and Cris just watches he's us before he starts to speak. "Am I missing something here, cause the tension going on between you two is almost unbearable." I narrow my eyes at Jamison, daring him to try and get out of this. He just smiles an easy grin before answering Cris with an 'it's all good'. Obviously, Cris and my brothers knows something is up, but fortunately, they leave it at that. Almost instantaneously, they get involved in an in-depth conversation about good old fashioned cars. I literally almost die of boredom, so I go to the kitchen to check on the food. "How's it going?" Porter asks, not having left the kitchen since they showed up. "Okay, I guess, " I tell him, as I watch Andy come downstairs, almost cautiously. There's way too much tension going on right now, with everyone.A/N:
