I slowly step away from the window and sit on the floor. We couldn't outrun him... we couldn't hide...there was no escape. The only way to survive is to kill him.
I hear Josie walk into the living room and sit next to me.
"What are we going to do??" She asks in a panicked voice.
"I don't know, Josie. He slashed my tires and we can't make a run for it because it would take us too long and we couldn't outrun him." I say calmly.
"M-my c-car!!!" She shouts while standing up. I shush her and get up. "I have my car at my house. It wouldn't take us long to run over there and I'm sure he has forgotten about it."
"We need to create a distraction." I say.
