"Okay, here's the plan. I will go outside and tell him that I will make a deal with him and you run out the back door and run to your car." I say.

"Okay, but what if he sees me?" Asks Josie.

"Then run back into the house as fast as you can and we will come up with a better plan." I say.

"Are you sure this will work?" She asks.

"It has to." I say while looking into the mirror and fixing the fake blood I placed on my face.

I open the front door and see him about ten feet away leaning against a tree.

"I want to make a deal! I want you to kill her! She's inside and she threatened to throw me outside and let you kill me and I hit her with a glass vase. She is unconscious on the floor and I will bring her out here for you to do whatever you want to her as long as I get to live." I shout trying to make myself sound angry and not afraid.

He tilts his head and examined me. I then hear rustling coming from the back yard. Oh no, did he hear her too? I decide to keep talking to avoid him noticing her.

"I-I need you to kill her then leave me alone. I won't tell anyone and I will forget this ever happened. I just want her dead." I shout at him.

"You think I'm stupid don't you?" He asks.

"W-what?" I ask.

"I know that is fake blood on your face. After killing a certain amount of people I know the way fresh blood glistens in the sunlight." He says while taking a step forward.

"N-no th-this is r-real." I say while taking a small step back inside the house.

"Where is she?" He asks while examining my face. And I sense a smile spreading across his face and he turns his head to the side of the house.

"Run, Josie!" I yell out loud for her to hear. I hear her scream and run back inside. I run inside and close the door and lock it then run to the back door.

I see Josie running towards the door and the man is close behind her. Just before she steps inside he grabs her hair and pulls her back. He then slips out a knife and holds it against her throat.

"Now now Josie, have you been a bad little girl?" He asks.

"Look just let her go please. We won't tell anyone if you just leave." I yell.

"Honey, we both know I can't do that."

"Get inside!!" Josie shouts and the man presses the knife more down on her throat.

I close the door and lock it. I look out the window and see the man still standing there whispering something in her ear. She looks terrified. Why hasn't he killed her yet? Why is he just standing there? There could only be one reason why; he wants something from me.
