Hayden's P.O.V

"Agh," I growled at my best friend Serena, "is summer break seriously already done?"

"I feel, it's the first day back and I'm already dreading this," Serena added.

"It would be a 100 times better if you and I just ditched the first day," I said slamming my locker.

"Are you sure you want to ditch today," a girl hopped in our conversation.

"Why don't you keep to yourself, was I talking to you?" I rolled my eyes at her in annoyance.

She gave me a disgust look continuing her way down the hallway, agh I despised people.

"Anyway, Serena what's the new news roaming around the school about these twins," I said biting into my peanut butter granola bar swinging my arm around her shoulder.

"You mean Ethan and Grayson Dolan," another girl said crossing my direction.

I turned back around to Serena, "please kill me," I complained.

"Uhm, excuse me Hayden has a restraining order from people she's 'allergic' to so please stand two feet away, she doesn't seem to be enjoying your presence currently," Serena spoke for me.

"Thanks S," I said blowing her a small kiss.

She judged me with her eyes before walking away, what was wrong with people these days.

"Serena, sweetie, can you hand me my schedule from my purse," I smiled at her.

She went through my purse to get me my schedule as I texted a few friends, inviting them for a swim after school.

"Okay, so apparently there are these two twins, Ethan and Grayson, who are transferring here from L.A," Serena said sticking a mint gum in her mouth.

"Interesting," I said thinking deeply about the new transfers.

New enrollment didn't occur so often at Lawrence Academy. Every year the same students came, the same teachers taught, the same rules applied, and the same memories were created.

The last time there were new students was probably two years ago. Lawrence Academy was a small, yet expensive school, which most parents couldn't afford. We had uniforms and a strict school system and any troubling behaviors could kick students out almost immediately. What seemed ironically surprising was why I hadn't been expelled yet. A lot of people saw me as the common popular girl who would most likely be found partying on a Monday night, however I actually did care about my grades and my future. I wanted success, obviously, but people seemed to seem me in a different shade due to my attitude and my group of friends.

"I wonder why they are coming here in the first place," Serena added, "who would freely choose to go to this school?"

"Same," my other close friend, Crystal, said, "however, I heard they're hot."

I rolled my eyes turning to Crystal, "I doubt they are, the only hot guy I have ever seen around here is Noah Sterling and he's taken so what's the point in that."

"Noah Sterling isn't even that attractive," Serena said.

"I don't even want a boyfriend," I said, "you guys know me, I'm not that girl who sticks with one guy, guys are pathetic."

"I mean, yeah, are you sure that Noah and you didn't have a sex session before," Crystal laughed.

"Crystal, shut up, no we haven't and I don't even want to because trust me if I did I would've had my hands in his pants already," I smiled with a cocky attitude.
