Aria's POV:
"Aria,"
"Yes mom?" Stirring the spoon in the bowl, she looked up at me.
"I was thinking something." My eyebrows drew together as I dropped my sandwich back in the place and propped my elbows on the kitchen counter to listen her.
"Hmm?"
"The boy," my heart dropped and my gaze instantly shifted to Lydia who was playing games, sitting Infront of me. I hit her foot under the table to gain her attention. She winched and glared at me. I nodded at mom, glaring back. "What was his name?" Mom looked at us. "Cameron's cousin!" She exclaimed irritated with us when we couldn't understand her.
Lydia and I looked at eachother before at her. I sighed out a relieved breath and Lydia rolled her eyes, drawing her attention back to her PSP.
"What about his cousin?"
Mom looked at me again. "I haven't seen Cameron for like weeks. You told me that he's busy with his cousin right?"
"Yeah so?"
"Your father is coming back tomorrow for two days." Both of our faces lighten up when we heard about dad.
"What?! Really?!" Lydia got up and jumped.
"Yes! Yes!" She shouted like she won a champions trophy. I laughed and stare at mom for any sign of joke but she was smiling too. "I hope that he's bringing the baseball set I asked him." Lydia thought. "And the basketball jersey, no, oh wait! The pink joggers!" Mumbling all the item names she requested him, Lydia ran upstairs, definitely to call him to remind.
I smiled, shaking me head on my sister's antics. She's such a child. I turned to mom. "So, what were you saying about day?"
"No, not about day actually. I was talking about Cameron." I nodded. "I was thinking to invite him and Elena tomorrow but then this thought crossed my mind and I thought to invite his cousin too." I keep nodding.
"Yeah, you have a point cause he's living with Cameron but we don't know him mom."
"So what? We know Elena, we know Cameron and he's related to him." Mom shrugged. Mom always liked to invite people at dinners. If only she could invite the whole city. I smiled down at my plate. "But what's his name?" I frowned at her question.
"Uh," I tried to remember. "I don't exactly know- umm, maybe it was Shane- Shawn- Shan?" Mom stared at me blankly.
"You don't even know his name?!" She placed her hands on her hips. "Lady! You need to work on your Brain. Gosh, you can't even remember a name!"
"Mom, I didn't forget. It's still in my head I just don't know which file." I smiled cheekily. "But I'm telling you, it's one of them- Shawn- Shane- Shan." Mom took the onion and cut it.
"You're of no use Aria. Now what will I say to Cameron? That I want to invite your Shawn, Shan, Shane cousin?" I covered my mouth when a laugh escaped my mouth. Mom pointed her knife at me. "Aria, go to your room and try to remember his name."
I got up, taking the apple from the basket, I walked upstairs. "What was his name? I guess Shane. No, it was Shawn. What did Elena tell me? Shit!"
"What are you mumbling?"
Out of nowhere, Lydia came Infront. She threw her basketball upwards and then caught it. "Cameron's cousin's name. You know?" Her lips curved into a pout.
"Umm, yeah!" She snapped her fingers. "It was Shawn!"
"YAS! I WAS CORRECT!" I jumped and was about to fall back when Lydia held my arms and pulled me up. She shook her head, giving me a glare.
"Geez, he's not your husband that you're so happy."
I slapped her arm. "Lydia!"
"What? Seriously. Look at you. Excited child you are." She rolled her eyes.
"Mom! I remember his name!" I yelled.
"What is it!?" She yelled back.
"It's shaw-"
"What shaw?"
"Mmmm, mmm." I tried to slap Lydia's hand.
"I REMEMBER HIS NAME GOD!" Lydia narrowed her eyes at me. "AND ITS-"
"IT IS SHAWN!"
"Ouch!" Lydia rubbed her hand when I lightly bit her. I laughed and ran downstairs. "You-"
"Mom!" I hide behind the counter and picked a pan. "Lydia! I'll hit you with this!"
She looked around and picked the chopping board. Mom gasped. "What are you two do-"
"AHHH!" Lydia ran after me with the chopping board.
"Lydia! Aria! Come back in the house!" Mom yelled from the kitchen. "Lydia! Give the chopping board back! I have some vegetables to cut!"
"Lyd! Give it back!" I went behind the sofa. "It's not cool for a younger sister inter to run after you elder sister with the freaking chopping board for heavens sake!" I cried out. She huffed when mom kept calling her and give it back to mum. I stuck my tongue at her and she did the same.
I went inside the kitchen when Lydia ran upstairs. "This isn't a house. It's a drama theatre."
I laughed out loud and shoved some slices of cucumber in my mouth. "It it." I said with full mouth. Mom slapped my hands when I was about to pick another piece. "Hey!" I complained.
"Aria. Get out of the kitchen. Let me work peacefully." I rolled my eyes and jumped down from the counter.
"Whatever." As I walked in the living room, I saw Lydia standing Infront of me with a baseball bat. In her other hand was a glittery link gift paper. My eyesbrows snapped together in confusion. She smirked evilly. "Lydia what-"
She stepped aside revealing a medium sized box. It was full of chocolates. The box was placed on the last stair. I looked at the box then at her bat and then finally my eyes met hers. "What's this?" She only grinned. The evil grin.
Buzz.
I took out my phone from my pocket and received his message.
Did you get my gift? Hope you'll like it. For the first time in history. I didn't sent a weird gift haha.
(Ps. I know you love choclates) -Mr. UnknownMy eyes popped out of my socket as soon as I read the last line. My head snapped at Lydia's directions who was now standing by the choclate box. She glanced at me and her hand raised. Oh god! She was ready to destroy my chocolate box. "LYDIA!"
