Dominic was sitting on the cold, wooden floor in the dining room. He was watching Netflix on Issac's laptop. Issac was out with a few cult members enjoying themselves except one. It was Issac's friend with the piercings in his face. He had been snooping around. He'd often take things, he called it "borrowing" even though he never gave everyone's belongings back. Everyone called him Clown, because he liked clowns and every Halloween they've known him he'd dress up like one. His real name was Patrick.
Clown took the key he was given and unlocked Issac's front door. Dominic shuddered. Clown's bangs were nearly over his eyes. His neon green streaks in his black hair had been the new part of his look. He'd had his facial piercings since he was 15.
Clown heard 'Bob's Burgers' playing from the dining room. He made his way toward the and peeked in through the doorway. Dominic had his arms wrapped around his body.
Clown backed up and knocked over a picture frame. He'd always been the clumsy one. "Shit." He whispered. Dominic's heart jumped into his throat, he gulped. "Hello?" Dominic said and looked in the direction the sound came from. There was no answer.
Clown tiptoed the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, he was looking for some milk since his was spoiled. Instead he saw one can of Pepsi, two bottles of beer, and eggs. "What the fuck? Who doesn't have milk, or anything for that fuckin' matter!" Clown said but this time wasn't a whisper. The soft pitter patter of Dominic's feet approached Clown. Clown turned around and nearly screamed. He thought who he was looking at was a ghost. "Don't scare me like that kid!" Clown assumed Dominic's age even though Clown was barely older than him. "Sorry, who are you?" Dominic asked. "Uh.. Nobody! That's who!" Clown climbed onto the counter, he smirked. Dominic blinked, Clown snorted and laughed. It was a laugh that would make anyone uncomfortable.
"I should be the one who should be askin' that question." Clown growled and grabbed Dominic by his shirt. Dominic flinched and whimpered. "I'm Dominic." Dominic mumbled, his blue eyes were filling with tears. Clown let go of Dominic's shirt and pushed him to the ground.
Dominic watched as he vanished.
