*The Official Start of the Election*
A little while before the election was officially starting, the young girls who are participating got lined up into a straight line of ten. I was lined up in the far back close
to the guard.
Anyways, the horn was officially blown, and the bell was officially rung. One of the ministers of the palace went up and spoke details and rules. My heart started beating as me and him took glances. I know I probably shouldn't have fallen in love with him, as all the endings of the Chinese time traveling dramas don't end up well; and I expect the same. But I just can't stop staring...
"Hey, you! The girl on the last row, number four! Where are you looking at?"
As I heard that I know I've messed up. I look up at the minister then back at the guard and nodded. He came about at the speed of light and took me by my hand as we fled together like a pair of birds in the sky. I wish that this moment would never end as I held his hand tightly leading the way he leads me.
"Catch those two! Do not let them get pass this! They're probably rebels from the Mongol Empire!" The minister yelled as he pointed towards us.
"Whoever catches them will have a reward of hundreds of gold!" Another minister yelled.
We never looked back once, but we both knew that if we do, we're going to have a huge exhausting panic attack.
Thus, we just kept running straight ahead. I don't know where he's leading me, but I trust him and he trusts me. And I hope that we can be that way as long as I stay here.
