Once my mom found out I was pulling my hair out she took me to the doctor. She thought maybe my hair was just falling out. To be honest I'd rather it falling out (That's a disorder called Alopecia) so it wouldn't be my fault and people wouldn't say "Just stop, I've had enough of this."
So anyway from what my 6-year-old mind remembers the doctor made her touch the hair that didn't come out all the way from the root, so it was kinda stubbly, and said I pulled my hair out. That was it we went home after that. He said absolutely nothing about trich.
After that, my hair grew out because I was very aware with where I was pulling, but it didn't last long.
