I entered the lunch hall that I was shown this morning with the girl who was taking me everywhere. I found out her name was Lilly. She was very happy all the time which I couldn't decide was a good thing or bad thing. Maybe all I needed was a little happiness, then again I don't see the point.
'Um my friends are over there,' she pointed a finger to a group of girls all wearing practically the same jacket. 'You can sit with us if you like?' She asked.
I looked at her then back at her friends. I could handle a little happiness from Lilly, but while I looked longer and longer I could see them all jumping around giggling to something one of them had said.
'Thanks but um where's the library?' She gave me a funny look before giving me the directions and wandering off.
As I started to walk to the library I passed by a table where note boy sat with what I predict were his friends. He gave me a smile which I returned and kept walking in the direction I was told.
After what seemed like forever I got to the library, greeting the jolly librarian standing by the door. I headed to a seat next to the window and pulled out my phone. Missed call-Aunt Jill. I ignored the missed call notification and started to browse my Facebook. All my old friends were on it. A few more people had wrote on my wall telling me school wasn't the same without me,blah blah blah.
In my old school you could have said I was 'popular', but that was before my parents were killed.
I logged off annoyed at all the random strangers comments.
I looked around and realised the library was actually pretty full, for being a library I mean. I stood back up and headed back to the canteen for lunch. As I walked through the corridors I watched everyone do their own thing and before I knew it I was on the floor along with the contents of my bag.
In front of me was a big guy with blonde hair and bright green eyes that I recognised somehow. He had a look of regret on his face as he instantly shot out his hand for me to grab. I did just that and yanked myself up.
'Im really sorry, Jenna!' He practically shouted.
Jenna. No one ever called me that apart from my mum and dad.
I took a step back and stared at him trying to get a good look and put a name to his face but nothing came to mind. I scrambled around the floor to pick all my belongings up and stood to face the boy again.
'How do I know you?' I questioned.
He gave me a hurt look.
'Im your cousin, my dad's, your dad's brother.'
'Uncle Tom?' I asked unsure. He replied with a nod.
The first and only time I saw him was at my parents funeral, my dad wasn't really close with his brother which made me unaware I had a cousin until I met him briefly at the funeral.
I thought hard and remembered that his name was Johnathon, Johnny for short. Not sure of what to do, I put my hands around his neck and pulled him in for a tight squeeze. His arms tightened around my waist as we hugged each other like it was a family reunion.
When we eventually pulled apart I told him I was going to get lunch and he joined me in getting something.
Once we had our lunch, me and Johnny sat down at a table and chatted about the people around us. He was telling me who was who, do and don'ts and all the annoying teachers.
'Whos he?' I asked Johnny as my attention was caught once again by note boy. As Johnathon followed my gaze, he found out who I was meaning and explained.
'Thats Dylan Guffy, he's in a band with Joseph kimrk and Paul Ralston. Apparently he's amazing at guitar. The band has like thousands of hits on YouTube, they're called something like Dilemma.' As Johnny was talking I kept my gaze on Dylan and tried to picture him In a band playing the electric guitar, and I must say it suited him. Just as I was about to turn away he caught me staring and I frozen. A goofy smile appeared on his beautiful lips. I stuck my tongue out and made him laugh. I turned my head back to an amused face that belonged to no other than my cousin, that had just witnessed me be flirty. Heat rushed to my cheeks and thank god for the school bell.

The last two classes went pretty quick, which I was happy about. At the end of the day Lily hadn't came to pick me up from class so I headed towards my new school bus. As I walked up the isle I realised there was a kind of seating arrangement. What seemed like first years sat at the front and all the way at the back were six year pupils. I made my way to the near back but realised there were no two seats on there own.
'Um can I sit here?' I asked to the back of a boys head. When he didn't reply I sat down. The boys head turned round and that's when I realised it was Dylan. He had earphones in, that's why he didn't reply.
'Oh hey,' he said. 'Could you not wait till tomorrow to sit beside me in English?'
'I didn't mean to sit here, I can move if you want.' I told him. Hoping he'd say I was being ridiculous and he did just that.
'I was only joking,' he smirked. 'Im Dylan Guffy.' He held out his hand and I shook it.
'Im Jennifer watts. Nice to meet you.' Seriously nice to meet you? I'm such a nerd.
'Likewise.' Then again maybe not.
