"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather for a clan meeting!" A strong voice tore Twigbark from sleep. He rose from his nest, and wearily trotted over. He sat down, and waited for the meeting to begin."Shinekit, Frostkit, please step forward!" Tigerstar said, calling the two forward. They looked extremely excited, and for good reason.
"Shinekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you become a warrior, you will be known as Shinepaw." Tigerstar said to the golden she-cat.
"Your mentor will be Bladetail. Bladetail, I hope you will pass on the skills you've learned to this apprentice." He finished, and Twigbark watched as Shinepaw touched noses with the black and white tom. He remembered how excited he felt to train with Violetfang.
The process was repeated with Frostpaw, and her mentor was Brokenheart. As Twigbark got to stand, Tigerstar began speaking once more.
"I have decided that Skyfeather will be moved to the Elders den, as his jaw has been injured beyond repair." He said with a sigh, and Skyfeather, who was standing at the medicine cat den entrance, nodded. Twigbark noticed Pebblejaw, who really wanted to go to Skyfeather.
He felt as for his sister, seeing her old mentor so weak and helpless, when he was once strong and brave.
At least he's still alive.. he thought, remembering Violetfang's death. He sighed, and silently vowed to get revenge. Tigerstar dismissed the meeting, and Twigbark decided to visit Dewfeather. He made his way into the nursery, and saw the three kits snuggled up to their mother.
"How are they doing?" He looked at the small fluffy bundles. Dewfeather purred.
"They're doing wonderful, they have your brave spirit." She meowed happily. Something seemed off about her mew, but Twigbark payed no mind to it. These kits were very new, and she probably just wanted to keep them safe, and had all signals alert.
"Koikit looks so much like you, you know." She continued, pointing her tail at the brown tabby, who let out a large yawn. Twigbark nodded, and looked at Flutterkit and Dawnkit. They were his kits, but nobody would know. Nobody needed to know, though.
"Twigbark, you visit Dewfeather a lot, is there something about those kits?" Twigbark nearly jumped out of his fur when he heard Shypelt's voice from the other side of the nursery. Her only kit, Darkkit, was playing with a moss ball on the grassy floor.
"Does it really matter? Maybe I like seeing how the kits grow." He responded, trying to keep himself calm. Shypelt gave him a questioning look, but decided not to push it. He was thankful for her kindness.
"I should go, I don't want to cause any more suspicion." He sighed, and gave Dewfeather an affectionate lick before exiting the den. He took in a deep breath, and went to find Applepaw. The apprentice was leaving the elders den, and he padded up to him.
"Want to go hunting?" He asked the apprentice, and Applepaw nodded enthusiastically. The two left the camp, and into the forest.

I tried to keep the authors notes very small, but I just wanted to say, sorry for the super confusing and random updates. I am not the best at keeping track of it, and the story ideas just come and go. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them to keep the story going. (Aquastar_the_Cat not you though, you already help me with the story enough ;'>)
Thank you for reading!
