Part 6: Hi

Lauren pov.

I hate Monday. I know everybody hates Monday but no one hate it like I do. Especially, This particular Monday.

Why? Because the thought of Lucy keeps bothering me. That's why.

Also, Normani is nowhere to be found, and I have no fucking phone. Can this day get any worse. Ugh.

I was slamming my forehead against my locker when I felt a slight tap on my shoulder.

"Are you alright?" Asked a gentle voice.

I look to my right and see.. What was her name again?

"Are you alright? Your forehead is really red right now"

Oh right, Zendaya. I totally forgot about both Zendaya and Dinah this past weekend because of that goddamn Lucy situation.

"I'm fine. Sorry you have to see that" I said, a little bit annoyed. I don't really like her. She's always too close to my Dinah.

"It's fine." She giggly said.

Looking pass her shoulder, I saw Dinah. My beautiful Dinah. She's talking to Ally about something that I'm sure involve Lion King.

Zendaya must noticed me zoning out because she then look behind her at the same direction as me.

"Ah, she's here." Zendaya said, turning back to me.

"Anyways, I will be going. I hope you feeling better." She patted me on my shoulder then walk off to greet Dinah. They hug each other like there is no tomorrow. Dinah even kiss her on the cheek. Both cheeks!!

I swear they are a couple.

A bright idea pop into my head as I watch them interact. I can't directly ask Dinah what's the deal with her and Zendaya. I don't want to scare her off or have her think that I came on to her too strong.

So I'm just gonna do it to Zendaya.

"Hey Lo! Sorry I was late. Miranda and I were gossiping. What are you thinking, why are you smirking like a creep?" Normani finally showed up.

"I just had the best idea ever! I'm gonna get to know Dinah through Zendaya. I need to know what they really are before I make any move." I explained.

"Wait. So.. you are not going to get back together with Lucy, right?"

Shit. Now I'm confused again.

"To be honest, I want to. But I know better than that. Even though she was good to me, she cheated. And we will never last anyways." I said with a mixed feelings. Sad and annoyed.

I'm sad because those time with Lucy, before she cheated, was perfect. I'm annoyed because the thought of her is keeping me away from my joyful self. I can't be 100 percent happy because of her. Everything would have been just fine if she didn't ran into Mani that day at freaking Starbuck.

"You know what, fuck her. I want someone better. I need someone better." I said with determination.

"That's my girl."Mani said, taking me into a tight embrace.

"And I know exactly who that someone is going to be." I start walking to class while Mani still putting stuff in her locker.

"Little Miss Dinah Jane, isn't it?" She asked quite loudly because I was no longer in front of her and just for the sake of teasing me.

I said nothing but turn around and give her a wink, then continue on my path.
