I woke up with Luke's arms wrapped around me. He was still asleep, I checked my phone. It was 9AM. Lois normally wakes up around 11AM, so I didn't have to worry about her getting up anytime soon.

I heard someone make a grumbling noise, It was Luke.

I left him to wake up properly for about 5 minutes.

Once he had properly awoken, he shot up as fast as he could.

"I have to go." He said, quickly grabbing his shoes and keys as he ran to the front door and left. He left his phone. I was looking at it for a good three minutes. I know I shouldn't go on it, but he's not here and I might find out why he left so early?

I picked up his black iPhone and unlocked it. I looked through a couple of his messages, it was just conversation's with a bunch of random girls - no surprise there then.

My head shot up as I saw an angry Luke standing in front of me. He looked dark and intimidating.

"Sydney! What the fuck!" He shouted in my face. I tried not to show my true emotions. Because if I did, he would know that I'm terrified right now. Luke is pretty scary when he's angry.

"Luke I-"

He cut me of by snatching his phone out of my hand.

"Luke please, I can explain." I said standing up and facing him.

"You know what. Bethany is a lot better than you and I'd much rather spend my time with her than you." He spat.

"You're the fucking player Luke." I spat back at him.

"You use every single girl that you're with, you're a fucking arse hole and I hate you." I  never thought I'd have the guts to say that to him, it looks like I do.

"Fuck you, Sydney. I was there for you yesterday and now you're treating me like this." Luke said, facing away from me. What a dick, how could he say that he was there for me when he just left me this morning and ran out my house as fast as he could.

"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO LEFT ME AS FAST AS YOU COULD THIS MORNING WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION." I screamed at him.

"BUT I HAVE A REASON, I JUST CAN'T TELL YOU." He shouted back in my face.

"YOU KNOW WHAT LUKE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE."

"DO YOU REALLY THINK I'D WANT TO SPEND ANYMORE TIME WITH YOU, JESUS CHRIST SYDNEY YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKING BITCH."

"WELL YOU'RE A FUCKING PRICK."

Luke walked out the door and slammed it behind him, making me jump a bit.

"Is everyone OK?" Lois asked, concerned. Mine and Luke's argument must have woke her up.

"Yeah, everything's fine." I said angrily walking up to my room. I really wasn't looking forward to school tomorrow. But, at least Luke wouldn't be there.

***

I woke up to my alarm clock making a beeping sound in my ear. Fucking school. I walked over to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face.

I walked back into my bedroom, I took a quick glance at my phone, hoping Luke had messaged me telling me that he was sorry. Nothing. I got into my school uniform, black tights, a black skirt, white shirt, black and blue tie, my blazer and black vans. I quickly brushed my long. brown wavy hair, got my bag, phone and left to get the bus. Lois wasn't in her room or downstairs so she must have already left.

As I reached the bus stop, I saw her and she waved at me.

"Hello." She smiled.

"Hi." I smiled back.

"Sydney, what was wrong yesterday?"

"Luke was just being a dick and I never want to see his face again."

"But you did go on his phone." She laughed.

"I only wanted to know why he left so early! I'm guessing you heard the argument then?" I said, laughing a little.

"Almost every word."

"Oh shit."

The bus arrived and we both got on.

***

We arrived at school and went to our form room's, because we was about 5 minutes late. Once form had finished, we made way to our separate lessons, she had French revision and I had history.

What the fuck. Why was Luke here? Why was he standing in my class, this is one of the only places I don't have to think of him and he's here. Great.

"Settle down everyone, we have a new pupil joining us today, his name is Luke. He has to redo year 11 so if you're wondering why he's older, there's your answer. Oh and I forgot to say, there's a new seating plan so find your seat and sit down and we can get started."

Out of all the seats in the class he sits me next to Luke, just my luck. I sat down, not even daring to even take a look at him.

Even better, sat next to Luke was the biggest slut ever, Sara. She's going to start liking Luke because 1.) She's a slut. 2.) She's Sara. 3.) Look at him, every girl in this class has already fallen head over heels for him.

"Hi Luke, I'm Sara." She said biting her lip.

What a slut.

"I'm Luke." He said winking at her. He did the same exact thing to her that he did to me at the party. I can't believe I thought he was nice, I'm an idiot.

Sara looked at me giving me the dirtiest look.

"What are you looking at, freak."

"Shut up, slut."

"What did you just call me?"

"I called you a slut." I really was not in the mood for any of her shit today.

"Ooh, you're jealous that I'm talking to the new boy aren't you."

"NO." I shouted, causing the class to fall silent.

"Sorry, Mr Matthews." I said quietly.

Sara just laughed at me and Luke gave me a half smile. I half smiled back at him and continued revising.

The bell rung and it was free period, so I just sat on the bench outside listening to my music until I felt someone pull out my earphones.

"Hey w- Oh, hi Luke."

"Um, hi Sydney." Luke said awkwardly.

"What do you want?" I said bluntly.

"Sydney, I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for shouting at you, I was just pissed that you took my phone."

"Sorry too, but why did you leave so early?"

He paused.

"Still can't tell me?"

"Sydney. I wish I could, but I'm confused myself right now." He half smiled and laughed.

"It's fine." I said, smiling back at him.

"Can we pretend yesterday morning never happened please?"

"Sure." I giggled.

"Come here." He laughed, pulling me in for a hug. It felt so right hugging him, he had to bend down a bit. But the feelings I'm getting with his arms around my waist are incredible.

I don't even know how I feel about him. I like him, hate him, don't like him and it's confusing the fuck out of me.
