The group spread out in groups of two to find something. Sally was told to guard the door though while the others searched. Maxwell turned to Isaac, remembering back when he was here before. Isaac noticed his staring quite awhile ago but was still hesitant on asking about it. All he knows is he might have some crazy plan of taking him over again.
"So you guys are here to save all of us or something?" Maxwell asks and looks around the room.
Isaac does a weak nod, unsure himself. He was somewhat confident, but not entirely confident on if they could really beat Sammie. Maxwell hummed to let Isaac know he saw and floated over to a shelf. It had quite a few folders on it, some dustier than others.
"You think something might be tucked in these files?" Maxwell asked Isaac.
Isaac walked over to the shelf too and looked at the names. He shrugged his shoulders and took one.
"These are files on people, not buildings," Isaac mumbled making Maxwell sigh.
Isaac flipped to the next page, learning more than he ever knew about Jimmy Bob. He blinked a few times at it and sighed. He closed the folder and started to put it back. He stopped himself midway on his action when coming to a realization.
"Do you think there is a file on Sammie in here? We still don't really know much about her." Isaac asked Maxwell.
Maxwell turned to him surprised before turning back to the files. Maybe they could find out something else while they were here...
Over with Ghost and Jordan...
Ghost and Jordan both walked down an older path. This one seemed not as used as the others and was also old fashioned. Ghost looked into a room off the side of the path but only sighed. This hallway was starting to look like it wasn't going to help in the slightest.
"Anything in there, Ghost?" Jordan asked him.
Ghost shook his head and stepped back over to Jordan.
"Just some random desks and chairs. It doesn't even look like it has any papers in there." Ghost told Jordan.
Jordan nodded and looked around the hall. It seemed that there was still so much more to find in this one hallway. How could it still be so useless thus far though? Jordan and Ghost just started to move forward again when a bird flew over their heads. Ghost shrieked while Jordan was quite startled by the sudden bird.
"Nope, I am so out," Ghost yelled and started to pull Jordan to the exit of the hall.
Jordan only followed his lead trying to not laugh. Ghost has a serious fear of birds and he knew he shouldn't laugh, but he snorted about it anyway.
Over with Toast, Bethany, and Cierra...
Toast facepalmed as he listened to the two bicker about nonsense. First, it was drawing then it was anime and now it is animals. Cierra made the argument that Pandas are better than rabbits. Now Bethany is trying to convince her rabbits are better than Pandas. They seem to have gotten very interested in their conversation considering looking around an empty hallway isn't very interesting.
"Just think though, Pandas. They are like cute huggable bears." Cierra smiled at Bethany who shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know about that. All bears are huggable per say. Rabbits are better though because they are so much more than huggable." Bethany stated making Cierra pout.
Toast looked over to the side with a small sigh to see a weirdly shaped wall. The wallpaper seemed to be covering something but Toasts careful eyes were able to catch it. He walked slightly off course and stopped at the wall. Bethany and Cierra quickly shut up and stared at Toast confused. Toast, of course, ignored their stares and started to tear at the wallpaper, hoping that something really was there. Almost on cue, a hidden door was behind the paper. Bethany and Cierra realized about it too and ran over to help tear the paper. Once they had enough torn to open the door, Toast opened it. The hinges made a loud groaning noise as they walked through. Dust was flying all around them at the sudden disturbance making their eyes water slightly. They walked through the old room, seeing all the books and documents all around.
"Woah Toast look at this." Cierra pointed out, making Toast turn.
It was a document on building the royal siblings castle. Cierra looked at the name who signed for it to be built and figured it must be a great relitive of the siblings. She turned to some other books wondering what she could find.
"Hey, Cierra look at this. It says stuff about the Casket family. Even Jordans cousins and second cousins are in here." Bethany said pointing at the book in her hands. Toast looked at the two and the room in surprise. These were long lost files that nobody knew where they went. They went missing years ago, but the fact the door was hidden made it all suspicious. Maybe somebody was hiding all these files from the world... but why?
"Wait, I think I found a document on the prison. It has a lot of detail about it so I would believe so." Cierra started pulling out a book and reading it.
Toast walked over to her and looked over at the book. He noticed a small paper sticking out the side. He flipped the page for her, wondering what the paper was. It was a map surprisingly of the entire prison.
"Wait shouldn't we be finding something on the ghost prison though?" Bethany asked looking over both of their shoulders.
"It is the ghost prison. We turned our original prison into a ghost prison. That's why it is so old and the normal prison is quite newer." Toast explained to her making her nod.
He took the map out from the book and set it on a nearby table. Dust flew everywhere from his actions but he didn't care. Only Bethany really did since she went into a small coughing spree from the sudden dust wave.
"This is exactly what we needed. This has every hall, cell, room, and more. We will have to figure out on how to plan out everything else but we got the map." Toast grinned at the paper. "We got to tell the others on this."
"Tell us what?" Toast heard in the doorway of the room making him look up.
Jordan and Ghost stood at the door, ghost considerably more shaken up than Jordan. Jordan walked over to the table, waving his hand at the dust. He reached the table and asked Toast again.
"What did you guys find? Is this the map of the prison?" Jordan asked toast who only nodded.
Jordan looked over the paper with Toast while Ghost hung back with Cierra and Bethany. He looked around the dust and cobweb-filled room with uncertainty.
"Whatever happened to this room?" Ghost asked, looking back down at the two.
"We found it hidden behind some wallpaper. Toast said the files in here have been missing for years. We're guessing nobody has read any of these all these years." Cierra explained making Ghost blink a few times.
"Missing files like..." Ghost asked and turned to answer himself.
He took the first book he saw and opened it. He was surprised to see it was a book on Maxwell. He could never find anything on Maxwell. It was like all his files disappeared.
"So all these files... Are files that have just disappeared into thin air. Every one of them?" Ghost questioned mostly to himself.
Cierra and Bethany nodded and looked around the room. There were about 1,000 missing files that they just found in a singular hidden room. It almost seemed like this was intentional to hide these files.
Maybe because it was...
(Hello! I am very sorry for just disappearing like that. I just have been super stressed about school and I just didn't have the steam to write anything. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and have a good day. I will hopefully have something to post on Tuesday, depending on what goes on with school. I will hopefully get my schedule figured out and get published more often. Thank you guys for sticking with me and my ridiculousness. Honestly, I would have just gave up on myself if I had to wait this long for just one chapter...)
