Lonzo had to leave cause he had a basketball game tonight so im back at my parents house. I sat down on the chair and leaned back a little bit. "Hey can we talk?" My mom smiled at me, walking into the living where.
"Yeah," I nodded and shrugged a little bit.
"So I saw the way your boyfriend was with you and I'm okay with you guys being together," she smiled at me, "I can tell hes a really good person and im going to put my other beliefs aside and im going to give him a try okay?" She smiled at me. I nodded and smiled bigger. I looked over at my dad, who was not smiling. I didnt really care though, I just needed one person to think it was okay. Brandon was that one person and hes gone now. "Im still not okay with a n***** dating my daughter," my dad scoffed.
"Don't call him that dad!! Hes not one of those!!" I stood up, shaking my head.
"Don't raise your voice at me!" He stood up too. I remembered the time that he hit me and I sat back down slowly. I nodded and gulped a little, "Sorry sir."

"So," Lonzo smiled at me, "I told my parents about you."
"You did?" I giggled, smiling big.
"I did baby," he smiled at me, "Maybe you want to meet them? My mom wants to meet you really bad."
"Umm okay when?" I smiled at him.
"Maybe the weekend after your birthday? Cause i'll be up on your birthday till that Monday," he nodded, "and we can stay there instead of Brandons."
"Oh okay that work for me," I giggled, smiling big, "My mom told me she was okay with you and I dating. She said she liked you." A smile spread across his face. I knew it made him happy. He hates that my parents didn't approve of him and I together. "Im so happy," he chuckled.
"Me too baby," I giggled.
"Alright kiddo lights out okay? School tomorrow!" My mom came in.
"Okay goodnight," I smiled at her.
"Goodnight," she kissed my forehead, "Goodnight Lonzo."
"Goodnight ma'am," he smiled at my mom. Then she walked out. I giggled, smiling at him.
"Goodnight baby," I smiled.
"Goodnight, I love you,"
"I love you too Lonzo,"

After school we went to Brandon apartment to clean it up. I went up to his room and sighed a little. I looked around his room and smiled. I started going through stuff and I pulled out a box from under his bed I opened the box up and saw a few letters. I started to read the one that had my name on it.

Katalina,

Im so sorry if something happens to me. Just know I love you so much Kat... You are my baby sister and youre growing into a beautiful woman. Im sorry that I got into this and Im sorry if I put you through anything you didn't need to be put through. I got into a lot of trouble with a gang and I know I shouldn't have put myself in that situation... I just want you to know that I love you and you kept me going longer than I thought I would have. I did everything I did for you so you could be happy with Lonzo, hes a great guy. Don't lose him... I love you so much bug...

I held the note as tears streamed down my face. I cried harder and leaned back. He signed his name at the bottom of the note. I cried even harder, I covered my mouth, trying to stay quiet. I looked up at my mom and dad who rushed in. I handed them the note, then handed them the notes with their names on it. I cried harder and re read over the note. His handwriting... God I didn't think it would be this hard to see someones hand writing before...

We finished up for the day at Brandons and we headed back home. "Mom did they ever find who shot Brandon?" I sighed.
"No they are working on it but we will give these notes to them so they know more," she nodded.
"What they come for us next?" I sighed.
"They wont I promise," she nodded. I nodded back and leaned back on the seat. I texted Lonzo what was happening with the note and everything. I needed to just talk to him. He made everything better for me... Even when it felt like the world was crashing down on me, like right now...
