I tossed and turned, whining and whimpering.

"Oh y/n.." The thing drug out my name.

I stood in the dark room, looking in every direction.

"No...no no no." I whispered to myself.

I looked around and saw a small white light, immediately running over to it.

The closer I got...the closer it's voice got.

"Why the rush?" It asked.

I started crying but kept running. Then something stopped me...I couldn't run anymore. My feet were glued to the ground.

The room was lit dimly, and I saw the most horrifying thing. Spiders. My number one. They were crawling at my feet making their way up.

"Help!" I screamed.

I woke up in my bedroom and it was dark with just the light from outside peeking in.

Sweating and short of breath, I ran my fingers through my hair.

I bundled up into a ball, scared for my life. Silently crying I prayed that Wyatt was awake.

He lives a few houses down and he's my best friend. We have this ability to kind of talk without being in the same room. It was kind of crazy at first but now it's normal for us.

"Wyatt...Wyatt are you up?" I asked thinking hard and only focusing on my voice.

"Wyatt..please I need you." I said.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I had a bad dream...can you come over?"

"I'm on my way. Sit tight." He said.

I nodded and tried to regain my breathing. Checking the table by my bed that held my alarm clock, I read the time.

1:15 am

I hated the fact that these nightmares keep popping up and I have to keep calling for Wyatt. It makes me feel bad because I ruin his sleep with my bad dreams.

Thinking about what life was like before the nightmares, I smiled.

My bedroom window opened and my head shot towards it. I saw Wyatt's curly hair and his head pop inside.

"Hey." He whispered stepping inside and walking over to me.

I jumped up and ran to him, hugging him tight. I didn't let go.

Starting to cry on his shoulder, he patted my shoulder and played with my hair.

"This wa-was the worst one y-yet." I said shaking.

He walked me over to my bed and laid me down, pulling the blankets over me.

"It's ok...I'm here." He said grabbing my hand.

I shook my head, "No...no I need you next to me."

"I am next to you..I'm not going anywhere." He whispered as he smiled.

"Please..." I said just above a whisper.

He took his shoes off and made his way over to the spot behind me. Once he was comfortable, he wrapped his arms around my waist protectively and placed his curly head in the crook of my neck.

I set my hands on top of his, getting comfortable as well.

"Thank you, Wy." I whispered.

"Anytime." He said kissing my shoulder.
