I wake up once again, this time the light is blinding, and I quickly blink away the pain behind my eyes.
Once my eyes adjust, I am able to fully look around the room, for the most part it is empty besides a few chairs, machines... oh and Daniel.
He is so cute when he sleeps, he laying beside me, his head on the bed and his body on the floor. The bags under his eyes have already started to disappear, and the color in his face is back. I am able to move my shaking hand to his head, where I lightly stroke his messed up hair.
And he slowly awakens. He looks up at me confused at first, but it is replaced by a sympathetic smile.
He grabs my hand and gives it a light squeeze as we stare into each other's eyes.
"Hello," we are interrupted by a man in a white coat, most likely the doctor, "I am Doctor Ramin." Knew it. "I see you have finally woken up," he says as he raises one of his eyebrows, with a small chuckle.
"How long have I been out," I ask my voice barely hear able.
"Two weeks," he says looking at the clipboard in his hand, "and this boy hasn't left your side since," he says looking at Daniel, my face heats up as he gives me a sheepish smile.
"Where are the other boys?"
"Christmas is tomorrow, they all went home to their families," he answers me.
My eyes widen at the fact that it is Christmas Eve. "Why aren't you with your family," I ask frantically.
"I wanted to be with you," he answers coolly.
"You should be with your family."
"I told you I wanted to be with you," he says rubbing his thumb in small circles on the back of my hand. I give a frustrated sigh, and turn back to look at the doctor.
"Oh we are going to do some test, but you should be able to go home in a few days." He says getting the hint. I nod, and he exits leaving me and Danni.
