daniels pov

The knocking sound on the door hit me hard.
Never has a simple knock knock been so hearbreaking, so cruel.

We looked ar eacother, almost at the same time. The same sad time.
"I- uh" he stutted, before looking into my eyes.

---

I opned the door to see my mother, huge smile plastered on her face.
"JOEY!" She loudly shouted before hugging me.
Daniek stood besides me, holding my suitcase and my two bags.
"I've missed you so much." She cried into my shoulder, still hugging me

"Yea.. i missed you too." I said, turning my head tword Daniel.
I could tell that small, slight smile on his face was fake. A forced, sad smile.
"Do you have all your bags? Is Maria here.?"

I felt so many emotions, sadness, happiness, the feeling of unfairness, anger, the list goes on.

"Ye- yea my moms here."
Daniel finally spoke out, first thing he said since my mothers presence.
"Mo-mom!" He shouted upstairs.

Soon the sound of foot steps came rushing down the stairs.
"Maria!" My mom yelled, before the two embraced in a small hug.

"Joey was an angel." She said, continuing to rant on Joey and I.
Somehow the fact the word  'was' was added into that sentence somehow broke my heart even more.

"Thank you so much. I cant even tell you how much you helped"
Joeys mother said, smiling.

She came up to me, her height being maybe two inches shorter than me.
"Thank you for being there for joey. You seem like such a nice friend"
I smirked looking at joey as he hugged me.

"Well. We must be going, thank you once again Maria."
She grabbed Joeys hand, smile on her face.

As soon as her fingertip hit the doornob, i shouted  "wait!"
Before basically jumping onto Joey causing him to drop his suitcase.

My arms squeezed tightly around the smaller boy, both our eyes spewing tears.
"Im going to miss you so fucking much" i cursed, muffled cries from my head being on Joeys shoulder.
My words just made his cries more audible.

I pulled away, rubbing my face with my hand.
"I love you" he whispered, not wanting his mom to hear.

His mom had a somewhat disgusted and happy look on her face before opening the door.
Joey grabbed his suitcase handle before looking at me, eyes moist.
"I love you."     "I love you too joey."

"I love you" were the last words I've heard from my boy before he slowly walked out the door.

I stood silent, not wanting time to pass.
I wanted the world to freeze, so i could stop Joeys mom from turning the car key and leaving me.

But i couldn't.

As i saw the car pulled out of the driveway, the tears came rushing down.

"we had an unforced love, bear."
