Rumi's POV

I've been so down lately being around Kiari and his kids. Only because it makes me think back to my pregnancy, but it's all my fault.

Although his mom was with me through it all, I still couldn't wrap my head around the decision I had made. His mom kept telling me that she'd do whatever she could to help I was only 14 at the time, and not ready for a baby. We was still building up everything I needed in order to live and go to school.

How were we supposed to get myself together and everything together for a baby? Was I supposed to go to a school at 14 while bein' pregnant? I didn't wanna do that. Not only would that cause the teachers to question me, but it would cause me to be pulled from their home and forced back to my mom's.

"I heard you were here for an abortion?" The doctor came in the room.

I was so scared all I could was shake my head yes.

"Could you tell me the reason for the abortion?" She asked again, and tears began to fall, "I'm sorry sweetie, I just need a simple explanation."

"I.. I.. I was raped b.. by my mom's pimp.." I started the explanation, "She u.. used me as a payment for her drugs."

"Is that your mom in the waiting room?" She asked again.

"N.. no. I ran away from my mom... She found me, and took me in." I looked down at my shaking hands.

"Okay, well we are going to get this done for you Okay?" She slightly smiled at me, "Everything will be alright, little one."

"Rum, you okay?" Kiari came into my room.

"I'm fine Ki. Just not feelin' right at the moment." I smiled at him, "I'll be down in a little bit."

"Promise? Cause ion think I can stand hearing Kody keep asking about you." He chuckled.

"I promise babe. I'll be down there soon." I smiled at him.

"Ight." He came to give me a quick kiss.

I gotta pull through this depression because I'm not gotta go back to that feeling I had while I was in jail.

I took a deep breath before finally getting up, and getting dressed to start the day with Kiari and the kids.

I walked downstairs looking around for them, but they were no where in sight. Seriously? I get told to come out of my room for no reason?

I walked around the house looking for them, and wondering where they were when I came across a little note on the kitchen counter.

'Sorry for leavin without lettin you know. It was last minute the kids wanted to go see mama, so it'll be just us for a couple hours when I get back. I'm hopin I can get you outta the funk that you're in. Love you.'
