Just Call me blue

Chapter 1

So before you ask no my name is not blue. It's Summer. And yeah I have this life threatening rare disease; cystic fibrosis where I can basically drown in my own snot. You know how breast cancers color is pink? Well mine is blue. And since the disease is taking over me I have people call me blue.

I used to be homeschooled until my mom decided I was shutting myself away. (Which I basically was but she doesn't need to know that). So now I'm going to public school. Um, yay I guess. I haven't been to a public school since second grade, then I got diagnosed.

So tomorrow is my first day and I'm getting scared. Wouldn't you? And now I'm trying to figure out what kind of crowd I would fit into. I've never been the athletic type, or super artsy, and I'm definitely not the cheerleader type. But I'm sure I'll be homecoming queen soon!! Not. So I guess that leaves me with the loners. But I don't care, I don't stereo type.

I flop down on my bed. Sigh deeply and decide to sleep. I'm all ready in my pajamas and it's like 9:30.

"Here I come 9th grade. Here I come"

I say to myself as I drift off.

That night I dream of cheerleaders creating a painting by doing cartwheels to kick balloons full of paint onto a canvas. But when it's my turn to go I twist my hand on accident and kick the wrong balloon sending a cannon ball of paint towards the canvas.

Black covers the beautiful picture the cheerleaders were making and the jocks come out to try and wrestle me. Being stupid as I am (inside and outside my dreams) I decide to take them on but when I get knocked out and end up in the hospital realizing that I was lucky to wake up and that my lungs were drowning in mucus it turns into a nightmare.

I'm not surprised when I wake with my covers writhed around me like snakes. So I check my clock and see that it says 6'oclock and decide to wake up.
