Max x Reader

first day

You woke up, looking around. Oh yeah. Camp. You stared at your tent buddy, Nerris who you found was a nerd, a bit like you.

(Don't lie this is you. No normal person be reading a character x reader) Stretching, you changed into your day clothes, a baggy long sleeve pastel pink crop top, a black undershirt and some jean shorts with gray/grey (different countries :v) sneakers. Nerris woke up as you were styling your hair into curls.

"Morning Y/N..." she mumbled. "Mornin' Nerris!" You beamed, turning to face her. Maybe I should put a pink butterfly hairclip in... nah you thought.

You rolled your head around to hear those satisfying small cracks. Nerris got her glasses as you did so.

"C'mon, let's get breakfast!" You said as you opened the tent flap. Nerris got out in her yellow hoodie, some baggy pants and slippers. She groaned and hissed at the sun.

You two got to the mess hall early, only David and Gwen were there. "Good morning campers!" David cheered, turning around to find only you and Nerris. "Oh hi Y/N and Nerris! Early birds I see!" He smiled. Gwen looked at your outfit and gave a small smile. "I like your style." You smiled, nodded and gave a small glance out the window. Almost morning. Soon everyone is gonna be in here. You thought.

Soon, your theory was right. Everyone came in the mess hall as clumps of kids, all murmuring. You and Nerris were wide awake by now, already knowing the basics of one another.

Everyone has had breakfast by now, considering it was around 8:00 AM. Your uncle and you were taking care of the camp mascot outside. You two turned your back and came back and he was gone... uh oh... Uncle David's gonna be mad... you thought. Turns out he wasn't but he was content on getting a new one.

"Okay campers! Our mascot is mi-"He got cut off by Max tightening the rope of the cannonball with "FUCK THE POLICE" crudely written on it.

"MAX NO!" You yelled right before he shot it... with the mascot on it. You teared up at the fact a small, innocent hamster died. You were so close to strangling him, but something other than David watching stopped you.

David explained the mascot situation  (sorry I'm lazy rn ;u;) and split the camp up... in a way. You decided to go with Max.

"Ugh. You..." Max grumbled. "Did we not meet eachother yet? I'm Y/N, and I'm assuming you're Max?" He nodded and looked around. He practically read your thoughts "it looks like the place you'd get stabbed." Max accusingly said while staring at the QuarterMaster. As if on queue, he opened the bushes to reveal a squirrel beutopia... before stabbing the king and returning to camp.

"WHAT THE FUCK YOU JUST KILLED IT" Max yelled. You, on the other hand, vomited. Anyways, you all got back to camp, all there was was a platypus Nikki found and the squirrel you saw get murdered.

The platypus won before the hamster came back... and the platypus ate it... so the mascot is a platypus...

Ok...

You got ready for bed when you decided to go talk to Max. Nah... tomorrow.
