▸Dandelions - Ruth B.
Lydia drove us through the gate and into the gated apartments. We ended up going to the fourth building and parking in Stiles' reserved parking spot. The three of us all got out and started to grab Stiles' things. Holding a box labeled 'dishes', I started to walk towards the stairs.
"What floor are you on again, babe?" I called over my shoulder.
"The third floor. Room three nineteen." Stiles answered, holding his pillow and his duffel bag. He jogged past me, already going up the stairs. "Let me go ahead and go first so I can open the door for you guys. I'll come back to get some of the boxes."
Lydia and I nodded, following Stiles to his apartment. Stiles opened his door and held it open for us. As I walked in, I looked around the apartment. It was pretty empty besides a couch, a television, a dining table, two chairs, a stove, a microwave, and an oven. I set the box on top of the table.
"This isn't a bad place, Stiles." Lydia hummed, setting another box next to mine. "It comes with the important furniture, right?"
"Yeah, this stuff," Stiles waved towards the furniture in the living room and kitchen, "plus my bed and dresser in the room."
"Well, I'll just help you guys bring everything in here and then I need to start heading towards the airport." Lydia told us.
"Airport?" I looked at her in confusion. "I thought you were heading home tomorrow."
"Nope, today. I need to help my mom set up her office back at school now that she's the principal." Lydia informed us.
"What time is your flight?" Stiles questioned, already heading out the door. I followed suit, walking down the stairs.
"In three hours, but you know how long it takes before you even get on the plane." Lydia rolled her eyes. "Plus I need to drop off the van at a U-Haul place right next door to the airport."
"No, I don't." I shook my head in disgust. "And I don't want to ever want to experience it. Ever."
"It's not that bad." Stiles shrugged, already grabbing another box.
"Uh...it is for me! Zeus hates me." I whined, already having a box in my arms. "He will purposely put bad turbulence or something just to see my discomfort."
"Well, then just avoid planes for the rest of your life." Lydia chuckled with her hands full of bags.
"That's my plan." I chirped, climbing up the stairs and entering Stiles' place.
"Alright," Stiles set his box down and placed his hands on his hips. He checked the boxes to see if we have everything. "Is that everything?"
"Yup! I got your bed sheets, comforter, and Nev's bags." Lydia set everything on the ground.
"Great!" Stiles clapped his hands together with a grin. "Now to unpack."
"And I'm leaving." Lydia immediately said, grabbing her purse. I let out a chuckled and brought her into a hug.
"See you soon. Take care, okay? And if you guys ever need me, call my house phone or try IMing me." I told her.
"I will, and you take care too. If you ever need any help with college applications or the SATs, you can always come over to my place." Lydia let go of the hug.
"Uh, no, she can come to mine." Stiles narrowed his eyes at Lydia, wrapping his arms around my waist. He pulled me into his chest and set his chin on top of my head.
"Yeah, sure." Lydia scoffed, rolling her eyes. I giggled at the two. Stiles kissed the crown of my head and let go of me to give Lydia a hug. "Have fun with the FBI."
