Emiko woke up, wondering briefly is she was in heaven. The room around her was brighter than her usual accommodations.
There was no mold or broken glass anywhere to be seen, but instead white walls.
Suddenly a white door opened, and Emiko watched a woman come in holding something.
But as soon as the woman saw she was alive, giving a start she scurried out to tell someone.
Emiko looked around her, then noticed the bandages covering her body and how her feet no longer felt like they were burning.
The even wiggled her bandaged toes with a giggle, as she hasn't been able to do that without pain in a while.

Then the door opened and a group of men walked into the room.
First was a man in all black, who seemed to be covered in as many scars as herself.
Next was a older man with a pipe, who seemed wise and in charge but at the same time laid back.
And thirdly a man who was practically covering his entire face but one eye, who had silver hair.

Emiko watched them with wide eyes, then gave a smile and a gentle wave of greeting.
"Hello child, I am Hiruzen, this is Ibiki, Shikaku and Kakashi. They will be here as a witness to your story." As he spoke the girl couldn't help but notice certain things about him and his group.
They seemed to be treating him as the leader, and Ibiki particularly was watching her with a menacing look. Ready for her to attack.
Kakashi was casually standing beside the older man, but at the same time he was reading a book he seemed to be waiting as well.
Then there was Shikaku who looked extremely bored of the situation already.
Emiko hummed gently, this caused the three to look her over. Suddenly the girl was in front of the older man, without any warning or sign. The two beside him jerked slightly in surprise then moved to stop her.
However, Hiruzen stopped them with a raise of his hand as the girl was acting strange.
She was in fact...bowing at his feet causing the three to watch in wonder.
The little girls ears were pulled back and her tail was pressed against her side as if trying to hide them.
"...Kakashi please move her back to her bed. I don't want her opening any wounds." As the homage watched, Kakashi went to gently grab the girl.
But as soon as he touched her, she pressed herself closer to the ground and hummed even louder.
Ibiki having none of this, especially when he noticed blood starting to soak trough her bandages, swooped down and picked the girl up with no problem.
Emiko soon realized, he was strong, strong enough to protect her.
'If he likes me, others may leave me alone.' So with that she wrapped her legs around his waist, and arms around his neck.
Ibiki frowned, then gave a jerk when she began to suck at his neck.
"What is she doing to me??" He growled, and Shikaku chuckled at the scene.
"She has been analyzing the situation and has come to the conclusion that you are the strongest and will keep others away from her." With that theory let out, the lazy Nara leaned against the wall and sighed.
Ibiki was slightly startled by this, but shook of his emotions of sympathy for the girl and pushed her off him onto her bed.
She hummed and pulled at her tail, realizing there was no security in the room full of men. None of them wanted her...she was no longer pure. She felt her tail and ears droop as she realized the end was coming near.
The men in the room watched her, realizing she looked sad but at the same time like she understood why they were there.
Ibiki stepped forward,"What is your name?" He asked, his eyes looking over her as if to find an answer. Trying to see if there was any affiliation to any other villages. But all he could see was a girl, a beaten and broken girl who still had the will to smile.
She hummed gently, and her tail swished back and forth behind her.
The third Hokage stroked his chin in wonder,"Shikaku grab her chart, what does it say?"
Already the spiky haired man was reading the chart, leaving the girl to curiously watch him. As he read she crouched down, beginning to sneak up on him. He knew instantly what she was doing, but was too lazy to try and stop her.
"It says here she has no...tongue." He looked at the girl who froze, seemingly remembering what happened to her.
Emiko spun around and hid her face in her pillow, not realizing she was now flashing the men in the room.
All she could think about was that day, the worst day of her life.
There was a strange man, one who seemed so...dark and dangerous. He liked to watch her skin burn, but one night when he was drunk he decided to heat up a kunai and slice off her tongue just to see what would happen.
Even when she wailed out in pain, nobody came for her. Alone, that night he left her after skinning her feet to see what would happen. He was a dark man for sure...
Emiko quivered slightly at the memory, wishing for it to go away.
All the while she was having this inner conundrum, Kakashi was grabbing a blanket and moving to cover her tail and reend from the sight of everyone.
Shikaku had spun around and was muttering about how much of a troublesome woman she was, while Ibiki was staring outside a window his usually pale face slightly pink.
The Hokage had sighed and grabbed the clipboard, proceeding to read the rest of her paperwork and seeing what else was wrong with her.
Kakashi had been the only one who hadn't freaked out, rather had remembered the pain of getting his eye replaced with Obito's. He had moved to cover her, knowing the poor girl was lost in so many ways.
As he looked down at her, all he could see was an innocent child who had been threw too much for her age.
'What's her name...'
